Had Endoscopy today. Everyone was friendly and professional. Hospital very clean. Procedure went well and surgical team brilliant. Had a nice bite to eat before I left. Was looked after we'll by Lauren, Dallas and the team. Many thanks. Gary
An excellent experience for my Mum for her Thyroidectomy surgery. The hospital was very well presented, the staff were friendly, helpful and approachable. A small and reasonably priced restaurant was very useful. Large car park with plenty of space. Wheelchairs were available in the entrance foyer which my Mum used. Very comfortable room with TV. Overall an excellent experience with no complaints whatsoever.
My son visited the Spire today for a day case admission. Everyone whom we met was extremely nice and the care he received was fantastic. His private room was wonderful and he thoroughly enjoyed the food too. We would definitely recommend this hospital.
Physiotherapist Debbie is the best thing about my whole experience with the hospital. The level of care, support and guidance has been exceptional. Debbie continues to help me recover and I look forward to my appointments, she goes above and beyond and she is a credit to Spire Manchester
Our son had a procedure today and it was a very long day indeed. Arrived at 7am, procedure at 1pm. Finally left at 6pm. Would have been more sensible to have us arrive later in the morning and alleviate some of the waiting anxiety. Nurses were great and very helpful and understanding.
I contacted The Spire to enquire about seeing a neurologist regarding a pineal cyst I was recently diagnosed with. I was booked in to see Stefan Schumacher for 11am on Thursday 4th July. I arrived at the hospital at 10:45am, booked myself in and was directed to the waiting room for neurology. The doctor did not call me for my appointment until 11:11am, eleven minutes after it was supposed to begin. The doctor listened briefly to my symptoms and I was given a cursory examination. Overall I was given 13 minutes of this man's time, before he picked up his card machine and charged me £280. I was told by this man that he would be reviewing my NHS scan results when he got home that night - as he has access to the Salford MRI scanner from his home computer - and that going forward, I needed a full-body MRI scan because of my symptoms and the drastic weight loss I've had in recent months, as well as blood tests done. Since being charged this extortionate amount for a 13 minute appointment, I've had one email detailing what I'd told him during the appointment, with no mention of the full-body MRI scan or tests being done, and then I received a migraine FAQ sheet. I'm absolutely disgusted with the way I've been treated. I was told on the phone this hospital could help me, or I wouldn't have gone ahead and booked the appointment. I'm too unwell to work, I'm now going hungry for no reason to pay an extortionate amount of money to a man who, seemingly, had no intention of helping me from the off. As far as I'm concerned it's nothing more than a scam. Stefan Schumacher barely gave me half of the half hour appointment I was charged £280 for. He called my name at 11:11am and I was back out in the waiting room at 11:24am. Do not waste your time and money on this hospital: they only seem to be in it for the money.
Outstanding care for my young daughter at the Spire in Didsbury. Quality of care from nurses and Dr’s was brilliant. Facilities and food were also very good too and made the stay relaxing and enjoyable. Thanks to all the staff particularly on the children’s ward.
I was very impressed with the service received both at booking stages & at my appointment - Aimee Walker promptly organised for me to see Dr Faisal Ali Consultant Dermatologist which I really appreciated after being anxious with my symptoms and eager to get a diagnosis. She managed to get me in much sooner than I anticipated which was fantastic … Thank you Aimee! I was really well looked after during my appointment too by the Consultant. He was friendly, very professional & put me completely at ease. He went through my diagnosis in detail and answered any queries thoroughly and clearly. You can’t put a price on peace of mind & that’s exactly what I achieved from this experience. Highly recommend to all!
We received absolutely outstanding care from every member of the staff at Spire Manchester. Their dedication went above and beyond anything we've experienced before. They took the time to explain everything thoroughly, and it truly felt like they prioritised us and our daughter, who underwent surgery with Dr. Sharma. Rachael Murphy, our nurse, was exceptional. She checked in with us and the patient so frequently, it felt like every 10 minutes. These small touches made a huge difference. We couldn't have asked for a better experience.
Hard to make an appointment for a treatment, hard to contact billing team for invoices issues, never replying back by email or call, typos are common in letter, even though my email address in the system is wrong. Note, I made an initial appointment by website and got confirmation email, so I guess it is someone correct it then, not acceptable to pay a private hospital bill for your services.
