Of recent probably the worst curry establishment you cannot rely on. They only deliver in two hour window and considering i used to love them......they perform well below par now. So very disappointing and so unnecessary
I’ve been ordering from these guys for around 8 years. The food is always amazing, the staff are friendly and cannot do enough for you. Used to pop by on way home, now I’m living a little further away tend to get food delivered. Always a smiling face, great food, amazing flavours. Cannot rate these guy more highly
I've been ordering from this takeaway regularly for the past 2 years. I often pick up or occasionally have things delivered. I cant really fault the food and the price is very reasonable. However, what was a massive let down which has now stopped me from using this takeaway is the extremely bad service I received. I ordered a delivery and they messed up my order where half was correct and the other half was wrong. So I quickly packed away the wrong items and started eating the correct half of the meal while waiting for the driver to pick back up the food and drop off the correct one. I was surprised they wanted the incorrect food back in the first place as I found this quite unhygienic- especially during times of Covid! We swapped the bags of food after waiting 15 minutes for my meal to come, all while I was very annoyed at the poor service and lack of communication. When my food arrived i did notice there was another portion of the other food container that they got right in the first delivery. I was too annoyed and hungry at this point to be phoning them again, so I carried on with my dinner. Afterall at cost price of £1-2 how much are they really going to care about an extra container of food gone. They CARED! Someone phoned back speaking loud and aggressive and shouting at me saying how I ate free food and now I must pay! Cut the long story short, I kept calm throughout the conversation as I was not looking for an arguement and simply just wanted the person to understand from my point of view. He was extremely rude and aggressive, and clearly was not bought up with good manners. Sadly I wont be ordering from here anymore which is a real shame.
This place is great, the family and I love their puris, the are so soft! I had a mistake with my order twice via Deliveroo and the puri and roti are under the same item so you have to leave a note to say what you want, which I didn’t know. Unlike some of these reviews, when I called the person I spoke to was very polite and helpful. My mum and sister have been ordering from here for the last 3-4 years I’m glad i took their recommendation!
Delivery times are a complete and utter joke, I even phoned in advance of placing a just eat order to confirm the 45min wait which was confirmed. 90 minutes later I received a cold meal which had the wrong dishes. I would not recommend spicy Indian
Spicy Indian is always my go to Indian food takeaway. The food is very tasty, arrives on time, has big portions and is highly recommended. Had the Prawn Kurma not Korma today with some naan, among other tried and tested items, and I can only say "compliments to the chef". Even after ordering if I need to make any requests, as quick call to the very polite staff is enough. Will always order from Spicy Indian. Miss them at your own loss
Was our "go to" for curry night, but they just are not answering phone any more.
Ordered my food around 9pm and by 1015pm still has not received any signs of arrival. Received a call minutes later saying they don't deliver to the door and he is asking us to pick up our food by the main road near tesco!! Horrible service, should be reflected on deliveroo too for this bad service.
Today I ordered Pilau rice, Aachari lamb, Aloo Gobi curry and a Peshwari nan. The food was supposed to be at my place in 55 min but they deliver it very late. The lamb was very hard to chew. The Aloo Gobi was raw. The peshawari was hard. I don’t recommend any one to order from them.
I have been meaning the write this review for ages. We moved to Mitcham and tried a range of different take away options and was hugely disappointed by our local choice. One Chinese was totally inedible. A friend recommended Spicy Indian and now we never go anywhere else for Indian take away. When we first ordered, I was pregnant and explained that the food needed to be fresh I was worried following our recent experience of service nearby. It was delicious and fresh. Subsequently, every time they came, they asked how the pregnancy was going and since my son was born, they now knock on the window so as not to wake him when the delivery arrives. My favourite options are the peshwari naan bread and the chana saag. Great for veggies too.
