Visited with me and my partner’s family. Really good atmosphere with great host and good conversation. Lots of choice on the menu for food and sides as well. Waited a little while for the food but was all worth it. I had the lamb shank and it was absolutely delicious and very flavourful. Thank you guys for a lovely evening.Food: 5/5
I came in after my reservation fell through elsewhere and was pleased that a table was available. The servers were very friendly, although it wasn’t very busy and many of them just wandered around aimlessly or stood right in front of the door and stared outside which was a little off putting. I ordered an onion bhaji and a lamb rogan josh with pilau rice my go to and favourite curry to have. The lamb rogan josh was absolutely delicious and one of the best I’ve had! Unfortunately my stomach seems to have disagreed with this and I have been a little ill since. Despite this, I had a pleasant and enjoyable experience here, and may visit again in the future to try more of the menu
We love it here once we moved to Ely. Love the fact you can order online before they open and collect within half an hour. We did have our food delivered last time, it was a tad cold but still delicious. If you collect you get a discount. Best naan breads around!Food: 5/5
Had a booking for 15 people. Waited over an hour for the food after ordering, which we let go as there was 15 of us, but we had pre-booked, so they were expecting us! The food arrived & lots of it was wrong, there was 5 portions of rice & 2 mains missing & it was also only luke warm. They also charged £2 for tap water!!! The flavour was lovely, but the portion sizes were small & the service was disappointing.
2nd time visitor to this "restaurant" and will not be returning 1st visit a number of years ago: food was superb and service was good and I felt it offered good value for money. Unfortunately this "restaurant" has gone down hill compared to my previous visit! We called ahead and pre-booked a table at 7:30pm on a Saturday evening. We arrived at the restaurant at 7:30pm to be told our table was not ready and to come back at 8pm! We went for a walk then returned to the restaurant at 8pm and our table was still not ready. After a few mins we was shown to a small table which was designed for 4 dinners even though our group consisted of 5 dinners, so restaurant staff placed a spare chair at the end of our table so 5 dinners shared the table designed for 4 dinners! A pleasant young waiter took our drinks orders, then another olde waiter took our drinks orders again no drinks menu on our table & a drinks menu was not offered to us by either waiter - eventually after a delay most of our drinks arrived except for mine, I had to chase my drink order so two people took our drinks order's yet only 1 round of drinks was requested / delivered and they even forgot my drink! We ordered poperdoms as a starter & had to request plates! No napkins where provided throughout the meal!! We then waited approx 1 hour for our mains to arrive, before we complained to a waiter about the lengthy delay. Yes the restaurant was busy, but tables who ordered after us recieved their food before we did. Eventually our food arrived - I had hoped the cooking would make up for the shocking poor service we had recieved.... Unfortunately my food was Luke warm in terms of temperature, and clearly had not been cooked recently, texture was ok but taste was uninspiring I think a supermarket microwave meal would have more taste and I felt it did not offer value for money! After our main meals were served no member of staff asked us if the food was ok? I found this really odd We asked for the bill, however the bill was unreadable - it was not in English. It looked like short hand of some description was used. How can you challenge a bill if you can not clearly read it? We noticed two figures where exactly the same, on the bill? So we spoke to a waiter to ask what was on the bill and we discovered we had been charged twice for drinks, but we only ordered one round of drinks!! I also used the facilities to discover only one toilet for ladies, the toilet flush did not work and their was water I hope on the floor. I did not mention these issues as a./ toilets should be regularly checked by staff and b./ their was no staff about to report the issue too To sum up: Customer service overall is non existent at this "restaurant", also over priced and no longer good value for money Positives: * Location * A single friendly / pleasant young waiter Negatives: * Toilet need's maintenance * Reservation system needs replacing why take bookings for a table, which was clearly not available! * Drinks ordering process need improving * Vast majority of staff require customer service training * Food quality needs improving * Bill should be written in clear English Would I recommend this "restaurant" NO. Would I return to this "restaurant" sadly no! Wheelchair accessibility: Sadly not wheelchair friendly, restaurant on a incline and steps leading up to restaurant no ramp option.
Do not usually review places but compelled to do this 1. Phoned up and booked table for 7 people at 19:30, on arrival was told not ready now 5 people, told to come back in 30 minutes. Came back at 8pm, table not ready, no cutlery, napkins, just linen on the table, squashed in like sardines. 4 waiters took our drinks order took further 20 minutes for them and pomperdoms. Eventually somebody took our food/mains order & after an hours wait where, others whom sat down after us were served AND I had to enquire as to where our food was, the food came. Total wait 1 hour not including the 30 minutes that we were sent away! When got the bill tried to charge double for drinks. Truly AWFUL experience, will never want to set foot in there again.
Well let me be the first to say that Les spice was out a doubt one of the best indians in the area staff where friendly management showed they cared for the staff cared about the food and most importantly cared about the customer no request was too big for them to do and I struggle at the best of times with autism and sensory issues so I am not the easiest around people but the owner Amin couldent do enough to make my experience unique and welcoming and the food oh my the food great quality fresh ingredients and honestly the lamb was melt in the mouth and so fragrant the sauces where creamy and just the right amount of spice I give my experience 10/10 and will always have a fan in me
We came here for our anniversary meal. Delicious food for very good value! The service is fantastic and friendly. The best Indian around.
Thoroughly enjoyed this place. Amin is a great host. The curry was excellent. Wonderful evening all round
Excellent food and staff a first time dining experience at this restaurant would definitely go back again.
