Food was bland, not proper indian cuisine at all and was overpriced for what it was. Worst butter chicken and biryani I have ever had. Ordered garlic naan bread even said it twice and got regular naan bread that was too thick. I normally don’t do bad reviews but if you are looking for an Indian cuisine- here is not the place to go. Sorry
If you're reading this then you already know. Spice route are the kings of cork. Unreal kebabs. Immense portions. Some constructive criticism and advice. The chicken kebabs are underwhelming, it seems like just roast chicken breast is used and its very dry. Opt for the doner kebab you can't go wrong. Lads, the chips are a bit undercooked, the cheese and garlic sauce are perfect and the portions are very generous as I said but the chips need more time to fry. That's it keep banging out the good stuff just improve on those areas and the small bit of extra cost is justified
I wish I could give them zero star. The food was absolutely disgrace. They added curry chicken in doner kebab. They even don't know how to make a doner kebab. Overpriced food and seeing curry chicken in kebab made me throw out all the food.Food: 1/5
Gone way to expensive completely understand that costs are crazy for small business but 15 euro for a curry and rice it's restaurant prices and half portion the portion of curry is same size as rice food is good a long time customer but for the price I can sit in a nice fancy restaurant
We stopped for a kebab. It was really good for a reasonable price. The staff were friendly and the service was quick. Great location too.
The Worst Biryani I've had! Ordered a chicken Biryani. All I got was a fried rice mixed with boiled chicken pieces, Bell Peppers, Lettuce, cucumber and a piece of lemon. Please remove 'Biryani' and make a new name for this dish or learn to actually make a Biryani. Very unhappy for wasting my money here.
We ordered 3 biriyanis and a Kebab. The price was very high compared to other restaurants nearby and it didn't taste good and didn't match the quality and quantity for the price. Highly disappointed with the atmosphere and the rate. Not recommended!Food: 2/5
Most disgusting kebab ive ever had, absolutely tasteless and overpriced. Ordered chicken kebab meal, dunno what chicken was coated in but it was awful. Will not be returning.
Visiting Cork and was looking for some place to grab dinner. Someone recommended Spice Route to me, and I was not disappointed. Great portions for the price and delicious food! Also it was spicy without telling them to make it hot this is a plus for me! Very friendly staff as well.
Back in time when the owner used to work there himself it used to be a great place to eat tasty food and large portions for a reasonable price. I came back after a few years October 2022 and it's a disaster. The prices are higher sure no surprise here, but the portions are literrally half size of what it used to be. The place looks like a dump, nothing changed over a decade, no renovation, it looks horrid. The main issue is not the aesthetic of the place though, it's the FOOD AND HYGIENE ISSUES. In spicy chicken kebab there were pieces of bones I only guess these were bones, not stones or something else, I almost cracked my tooth. After eating pacora kebab my child was vomiting all night, in agony with stomach pain for 2 days after. This place raises a red flag.
