It's very very quiet. Hardly anyone here. not that I'm complaining Lovely thick grassy pitches. The ground isn't full of stones good for tent pegs The warden greeted us very cheerily and told us a bit about the history of the site, before taking us to our pitch. It's situated on an old POW camp. The toilets and showers are in an old stone building, but are very very clean! Hardly a cobweb in sight. The showers are good old fashioned ones. No need to keep pressing a button every 60seconds.I hate that It's close to about a billion different distilleries. So if whiskey is your thing. Its the place to stay. No play park, so more adult friendly and you'll need a car to get there m But we loved it. And would definitely come back.
Beautifully situated little site. Well laid out and historically interesting. Showers are great but old, but that's due to the sites heritage. A great base from which to explore Aberlour and the surrounding area with it's numerous distilleries. Not really suitable for small children.
We loved this campsite, the shower block is old but well maintained and quirky. Loved all the little touches like flowers in the ladies loo, washing up racks etc.
As new members of the caravan and camping club, we were quite shocked at how poor thus site was after being told all CCC sites are very good. We were welcomed by quite a rude and arrogant man, if we hadn't prepaid I would have drove out. It had a play area advertised on the website, it's taped off and condemned, the grass area next to the out of bounds play equipment is unkept and uncut. So there is next to nothing for the kids to do. It's in a beautiful part of Moray but you can't see out of the site for all the surrounding trees. Toilet block although very old seems clean and fresh,Showers are very basic. I doubt we will return
Quite a soggy weekend while site water logged, willie's required. Very quiet site but easy access to village amenities. For petrol take second left over Spey river bridge.
We are not members and never would be as we 100% wild camp but thought we'd like to put a little money back into the industry, so we pulled onto the site to empty, fill up and have showers, £7.65 seems reasonable but I think there would be less waste dumping by some if this was opened up to all who wanted to use it, and extra income for the site. Its quite a nice site too, quiet and very open with lots of space.
Very nice little site. Facilities were always clean and overall looked after
Lovely wee site, well maintained and clean, the staff were very helpful and friendly. Great location for visiting the many distilleries located near by
Fabulous stay. Really kind helpful staff. Showers were nice and hot. Toilet block spacious and warm. Loved that the bin area had options for recycling. Would definitely visit again. Beautiful location, especially a near by old bridge, and obviously lots of distilleries
Great spot and staff. A bit muddy if a lot of rain and washer/dryer simply does not work and needs to be replaced now. Otherwise a real gem.
