Rip off and bad contact lenses... my husband was told the only contact lenses available for his prescription cost £120 for a pair and there was no alternative - this was a lie as we found out when we moved to Boots optician. The found a lens for £40 a pair that was more breathable and caused less problems for the eye.

My elderly mum had a very stressful time in the Grimsby branch of Specsavers. Staff should be able to at least be kind and patient with people who might not understand what they are saying. The one positive was a lovely girl who helped my mum choose her glasses and was very kind to her. More training needed for your reception staff who deal with people first. One day we will all be elderly, so please think how you would expect to be treated.

They didn't have a pair of glasses in that fit me, so the store manager got involved. The customer service was excellent.
