OK let's start with positive the post office counter is in side spar store which has many yummy things to eat. There is free parking out side store. Now let's focus on post office. Its great there is a local one. But I feel the staff need to go with times. In old days post office staff was always known to be grumpy. But I've used many around West Midlands. Its sad to say this post office still living in past. Barley any customer service. And having bit off plastic screen does not mean they do not need to wear a mask. It's for their and are safety. After doing couple parcles I felt like I just been to head master's. Its cost nothing to be polite with a nice manner. Rather than talking to you like a child. But again plus side for oaps who live local they can pop into shop and also post office
3 for £5 on ball the big bottle of beers and ciders. Love this place!
The business, TRULY isn't open 24 hours, - THERE IS... a WINDOW service, and there is an in HOUSE service.... Opening times usually should count as where a customer can enter a premise and shop. There should be more review stating that a custom after the hours of 11PM to 6AM aren't able to use card, but ONLY CASH- even during COVID... - That being said, review!
Customer service at post office is terrible, I asked in a very polite manner if the woman serving could write 2 addresses on the packages I was sending as my hand writing isn't very good at all. Which she replied very bluntly 'no I have other people to serve behind you, which there was 2 other people waiting yes but to write an address for someone takes less than a minute. After struggling an taking time to write the addresses the best I could, I then almost missed the chance to have them sent today. I then conveyed my opinion to the woman serving in a firm manner insisting the customer service was terrible, she refused to accept this threw my parcel onto the floor an said ' well someone else is going to have to serve you then cause I'm not' to which she just walked away and another gentleman came an served me. I will never be using this post office again. I've heard Hermes is a lot cheaper way of sending packages an shall be using them from this point onwards.
Usually ok, although I am not a regular. However, my last visit was marred by a very unhelpful gentleman at the post office. I was even told that they would not send my envelope on my way out ... Well we'll see. These folks really need to think again about messing with The Royal Mail
In response to owner under *DIY Asmr*: when I went into the shop the guy behind the till said that sometimes the post office is open 24/7. But it depends who's on shift- he didn't have the key to gain access to the till.
Good local shop.
Over charged me for postage. I had a large letter which does fit through a letter box but charged me £3.10 and didn’t even use the guide to check!!
Not really one to complain but is there a reason your overnight cashiers not all of them choose to overcharge and then pocket the difference ??
