Handy local convenience store with comparable prices, well stocked and friendly team members. It's kept clean and there is parking to the side. It's close to a school, so may be busy at lunchtime and home time so keep that in mind if visiting.
Dated, run down and often short staffed. Go and compare to the one near the racecourse, like night and day. Would add that NONE of this is the fault of the staff who do their best, simply zero investment by the lazy owners who clearly use it as a cashcow
It's a Spar. Not the best Spar but far from worst. It usually has everything I need and a post office to boot. Always polite and helpful, however, can get bad queues at times. If I was to moan, it would be the produce. Bit hit and miss and can be a bit substandard in quality at times.
The way I heard the assistant talk to an older lady today is absolutely disgusting. Calling her deaf and when the lady went back into the shop and said I'm not deaf, she was told bye, bye, I'm talking to my colleague not you and waved her out the door. Urgent customer training needed or this shop will loose many more customers not just me and probably that poor lady today.
What a turn great place. A real change has happened here. The staff are helpful and friendly. The promotions are great. And the way the shop has handle covid 19 is especially remarkable. Excellent shop, love going here. All your need in one place and at reasonable prices. Very happy
Open New Years Day, no Tesco Lidl or Marks! Airy, stocked. With patience when busy, you will be served. Past reviews unkind, reflecting grumpiness of the reviewer. Give the staff a break, life is too short!
The staff at this spar have been absolutely amazing during the covid 19 pandemic. The customer service is outstanding as always and plenty of stock, im particularly impressed with the fresh produce.
Talking to the staff I am told it is under new management. The shelves are full under the current circumstances and with new products which I have not seen in the store before. Very friendly and helpful staff too.
A good local shop, has everything you would expect to find in a spar/ convenience store; milk, bread, cheese etc. Also has a post office inside which is extremely convenient for posting parcels!
Such friendly and cheerful staff, especially what is happening in the world right now. Shelves are always packed with food. Well done Spar!
