I got a real shock at the check out last night. I had to check my receipt in the car. Couldn’t believe how much things cost in the Spar. It’s a rip off for poor local folk. We wanted a melon for breakfast but they charged us £4.50. I took it back and they admitted a mistake and refunded us £1.50 and charged us £3. Today in Lidl in Pwllheli, the identical yellow melon is £1.19. Only shop in here for essentials as it’s extortionate for a lot of items. It’s a shame that it’s come to this. Overcharging local folk is not nice. I am a fan of Spar shops, as they do have some wonderful choices of food but sometimes the prices are crazy.. it would be nice if they offered an essential range at competitive prices for normal local people. Sorry for the moan. On the positive side, this shop offers a wonderful varied choice of goods and is by far the best shop in the area. Rant over!!

Lovely well stocked shop. Good variety of fruit and vegetables and meat. Lovely cakes and buns. We have been coming to Nefyn on holiday twice a year for the last 20 years and visit the store everyday when we are there.. Exceptionally helpful and friendly staff.
Definitely average store. Don't expect anything beyond the range of basics and tourist stuff. Limited choices to actually be able to cook a meal. Fresh meats are decent and vegetables good but limited range and can sell out.
Good shop. With friendly and helpful staff. Handy in this small town. Good for ready made food to take down to the beach or morning hot food to start the day. An excellent selection of everything for the size of the shop. Good position for the area and has car parking outside with the pharmacy next door.
