One of my favourite places to go to.nnIve been coming here for over 5 years now, for walks, photography, canoeing and running. It's one of the most peaceful places to visit, maybe less so on busy summer days but even then it's totally worth coming here.nnYou can choose to take the scenic way left towards the center of Bourne end which will take you through the Bourne end marina. Or go right, taking the peaceful but equally as scenic way, which could take you all the way to Marlow fantastic route for a run. Either way you go you will not be disappointed.nnIn terms of canoeing or other water sports, I found that others doing the same are very respectful and friendly. Many times I've had conversations whilst paddling around.
Super location to park and walk along the river. Free, large car park that can accommodate a decent sized group. Ours had about 10 cars and there was room for a lot more.
Nice free hard-pack car park giving access to the Thames path, marina & lots of public footpaths.nnMight be a slog for a wheelchair user & those with mobility issues.
Gets busy on nice weekends, but great place to park for kayaking. Free parks mg, and an easy walk to the river, after the level crossing turn right through the gate, and there is some easy entry points.nWould also be great for picnics and dog walkers.
Great place to take the kids, the River Thames is shallow here
