Kids absolutely loved it. This is perfect for kids of any age. My two kids are 2 & 6 years old and they could both explore, learn, interact throughout. It’s very well split up until areas so they don’t get to overwhelmed and enjoy each area to it’s full potential. Parking is pay and display, but it’s contactless payments so don’t worry about needing change. This place has get accessibility so is perfect for anybody in a wheelchair or smaller children in prams. They don’t have a pram store so if you don’t need it I would leave it in the car. Cafe isn’t current open so I would take your own dinner along. They have made a little pop up coffee shop which I was happy to get a oat milk latte.
Fabulous new learning and adventure place for children of all ages. Fascinating and educational with interactive exhibitions to keep them occupied for hours. My young grandchildren 3 & 4 loved it and want to go back. Even though the majority of the exhibitions were for older children of 6 upwards. The younger section was only opening the week after. Can't wait to take them back. Easy to get to by ferry, bus, and car with good parking available. The best part is that you can make an adventurous day out of it for children by taking them on the Mersey Ferry as it is located at the Ferry terminal. You can also take them on the Mersey Rail underground network under the Mersey. The Ferry and Underground ticket can be covered with the one cheap Mersey Transport Saver ticket that lets you travel on both plus the buses. Fantastic value and a fantastic place to visit.
Had a fantastic day at the community open day this week, thank you so much for allowing us to explore for free. My 6 year old and 3 year old had a fantastic time, we spent a couple of hours walking round but will didn't spend time at every exhibit. They are also most excited for the craft space to open. I particularly love the views from the building and the amount of educational possibilities I can see through activities the girls are super engaged with. I think the £16 admission price is fantastic value, with it acting as an annual pass, allowing us to return regularly throughout the year! The place opens on my eldest's birthday, and she's asked can we go back as soon as possible. Thank you Eureka, you'll be seeing lots of us.
An amazing science and discovery centre, aimed at children up to 11. Lots of great exhibits including robotics, energy and sustainability, innovation, and the human body. We spent 4 hours, did two complete loops around the place and still had more we could have done.Visited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
£60 is way too much for a family of four, even if you lived close and went often. We had travelled over an hour from stoke having visited the eureka in Halifax a few years ago where we had a great day out but this doesn't come close. The exhibitions are very hands on and are perfect for kids. We took two kids aged 7 and 11 and we stopped and took in most of the exhibits and it took us around 90 minutes which for me just doesn't justify the entrance fee. Although we had a good time, it is smaller than Halifax and in my opinion not good value for money.
Kept my 3 year old entertained for at least a couple of hours. Lots of interactive displays to keep children engaged and ensure learning is fun. An under 7s section is opening soon, which should make it even more ideal.
Loved it! The thing that made it so pleasurable was the staff. All incredibly nice and helpful, not only did one literally sprint into action to help find a lost bag, they also gave us some discount on a souvenir and a free one to keep things nice and equal for the kids. Now that we have an annual pass we're looking forward to going again and seeing some of the new exhibitions. Really loved the show, fun but informative. I think maybe you shouldn't let people in after the show starts, that wasn't down to the staff but maybe a well meaning sign to say clear off you're too late, might help the show atmosphere. There's a general feel of self acceptance from all the exhibits "we're all humans, with weird cool bodies" type of vibe, and in all about that. Lastly, it's very safe. There is a closed access policy and children cannot leave alone.
At £15 per ticket you might think it's a little on the pricey side but it's a fab experience, a perfect rainy day activity AND after your first visit you can return as many times as you like over the next 12 months for free. We have been 3 times now and each time we have been there have been new things added for the children to try. For example there is now a crafting area with different crafts for children to try and at the back of the centre is a theatre where a range of shows and interactive activities are scheduled throughout the day, no extra cost for this just book your places at the desk on the way in. Our children range from 5 yrs to 10 yrs and all love to visit.
Upon arriving we were greeted by staff and they were very polite, helpful and friendly. The whole experience was great fun and we spent a good 3 hours inside, exploring every little thing available, the kids absolutely loved all of it. It'll be even better when the burrows bit is open and the cafe is up and running! Worth the money, especially with your ticket turning into an annual pass
Came yesterday with my 5 and 7 year old and my friend with her 7 year old. From the moment we entered the kids were fascinated with the place. The trees house was the most popular area and they spent a long time playing. The staff are all very lovely and friendly. All chatting with the kids and very helpful. My favourite part was the big chill out room inside the giant ball of elastic bands. We all enjoyed the show in the theater and also story time with the elf and singing with santa, learning some sign language too. My kids are already asking to go back. Looking forward to our next visit.
