In my opinion, this is a much cheaper, much faster and all round more enjoyable way to get to the Isle of Wight than the traditional ferry.nnIt was £60 for our family of four plus the dog. Bargain!
We traveled on weekday, the outbound was delayed for almost an hour, our ticket was 12:00, but the boat departed at around 12:50pm due to the crowds. I guess this was because they just run one boat in weekday although they have two. Then we had a lovely bus trip at Ryde. Unfortunately, our return trip delayed for another 15-20mins again. We paid £78 for return tickets for two adults. I can’t imagine how they keep delaying the service in summer weekend. If you consider to take this 10 mins hoover, Please be patient at waiting and plan your trip with more spare time in waiting. Good luck.
Fastest way to travel to the island in a unique manner! Good value for money providing an integral method of transport to the island which is incredibly convenient.nnWould definitely recommend the excursions that are sometimes offered by Hovertravel - especially the experience flights!
Very friendly and helpful staff. Even though i bought tickets online for 11am we got there early and were allowed to board.
Booked online in advance, really easy transaction we walked into the waiting room they took our booking reference number and that’s all that’s needed, and boarded the hovercraft no problem no rush. All the staff were very helpful and polite.
