Beautiful grounds, our first time at this crematorium. We booked the small chapel without coming to see it first. I hated that mum was placed in a corner so we couldn’t see her casket during the service. As I sat in the front row and looked out of the window I was very sad to see an old broken fence and a tatty looking fish pond, very uncared. Sorry Mum, I should have checked first……
Lovely, peaceful place. We'll kept lawns, trees, shrubs & pathways. Always clean & tidy plus use of toilet. Plenty of benches to sit on & water taps and watering cans. The groundsmen are friendly and helpful. Beautiful resting place.

I carried out a funeral today as a Celebrant, my first one at Southend. I just have to say that the staff there were amazing. A chap called Lee was so helpful and showed me the ropes and how everything worked, I just wanted to thank him in publicly as it made a huge difference to me, and therefore helped ensure my clients had a well run service. Thank you.

My mum has a memorial here, lovely place. Very peaceful. Not open until 5.30 though. I leave work at 5 and get here usually at 5.20 and it’s nearly always closed. Perhaps it might be to adjust the opening hours on google so people aren’t disappointed to find it closed.
Had my mums internment today and Steve was so lovely and caring and went above and beyond for us. Thank you so much, it was really appreciated.
