The council that doesn't care about the order and cleanliness of this city. Constant passes all over the waste, turn the streets of the city into rubbish dumps. Every 2 weeks you need to “beg” to pick up the waste, and then there is no guarantee that it will be taken away. But the council tax increases every year, and the service goes down.
Can’t put 0 stars unfortunately. Not that anyone will from the council will read the review. I pay council tax for my bins to be half collected for the last 2 times. Binmen are in a rush probably cause overworked and empty half my bin out and move to the next house. Maybe its a game they like playing with my property or don’t like the colour of my face who knows. Please look forward to my Next council tax payment due next month. Keep up the excellent work.
Useless and unhelpful! I just want some bins for my damn flat! We have asked for these for three years straight only getting by because the flat next to us was empty and we could use theirs but now it is occupied we are stuck. The council always either give a ridiculous reason why they cant give us a bin or just ignore all the forms I fill in, the emails...etc. I live above a business and thus can't use their bins or they get fined by these same bloody council so where should I put my bins?!!!! People are suggesting I should just bring my bins to the office until they sort this out?! Maybe I will- for the amount of council tax I am paying it is shocking how little this council cares for its people!
Can't fault them. Yesterday morning I discovered my recycle bins left on the pavement for collection were a melted residue with broken glass everywhere. I got an incident number from the Police, then rang the refuse department. The same day a man came to assess the damage, followed by 2 men to clear it up & cordon off the damaged tarmac & sunken glass. I woke up this morning to find a brand new recycle bin in my garden & am told the glass one is on order. Thank you.
As the council have been 'unable' to open my formal complaint I shall upload here. From the age of 17 I had been denied a home, denied education and subjected to age discrimination. As stipulated by our nonsensical government wages are lower for under 25's and rather setting welfare by circumstance we have an age assessed system. From the age of 17 I was discouraged from registering to the housing list and this discouragement continued throughout my life. I have spent my life merely surviving being told 'council properties should only be for the most vulnerable people'. I am 32 years old and won't see a home of my own till I reach my 40s, I have survived long enough, now let me thrive! I work hard and study with the OU, I need a home.
The local government wants people to work but again forces people to stay off the roads! I do deliveries and there are no parking for delivery drivers to park while on delivery so we’re forced to park on a double yellow line or sometimes half on road and half on pavement. So we end up with a parking ticket! After showing the proof that we were on a delivery at that time, they won’t cancel the ticket. This is very wrong. Delivery job is a very hard job and very stressful and on top they give us tickets. We’re not waiting or just parking there to chill. We stop at a stop for maybe 10 minutes and on the windshield we have signs saying it’s a delivery vehicle but still the traffic wardens gives a ticket. I’m asking the local government to give us a solution or do something about the ticket.
Super corrupt and incompetent. Lazy, handout loving bureaucrats. Won't give me a larger bin for my nappies. Won't collect rubbish because I have too many nappies and bin is overflowing.
Have made numerous complaints about heating, they say everything is working, it's either so hot your sweating watching tv with your windows and doors open or so cold your wearing tracksuit bottoms and hoodie in bed, despite requests to have this useless system switched off completely they refuse, obviously they enjoy ripping off customers just like the £175 electric meter charges. The heating system is an environmental disaster and fixing these issues would be far more beneficial than focusing on vehicle's
The fortnightly bin collection works well for me and I find that when I have issues I can get action
I really can't fault our council. The web site works well and is informative. Our services and open spaces function well. Many Thanks
