With delays on YOUR OWN SERVICE. And your asking why are we late? You donut stop giving candidates answers before you ask silly questions
Had a assessment. Absolutely poor. I always envisioned south western railway of having high standards to get into the company. I was stuck on a few questions the lady literally gave me us the answers so we can pass.
One of the worse companies in history. The wifi on train never works, and when have valid ticket they fine you with lies, when valid evidence submitted to their prosecution team they are happy to be thieves and scam. Everyday scamming and they get away with it because use scare tactics and everyday people out of money for no reason besides this company is money hungry, break consumer laws, satisfactory act, common, contract law and all sorts yet criminal behaviour company still operates to this day, they break consumer act everyday and trading standard acts. Staff are a joke and untrained the whole company is a joke. Personal experience never recommended. Got scammed over £170 for validated ticket.
Worst train service I have seen in my life. So bad it should be illegal for them to operate. I got stranded for almost 6 hours yesterday while drenched due to rain and with a freezing wind. They kept saying on the speaker that they'd tell us as soon as they had any news about the situation, and that they were working on it with haste. 5.5 hours later they said that no train was coming and we had to find other ways of transport. I had to pay a 100 pounds to get an uber to take me home, and in the end the compensation was only in the form of a ticket refund, which didn't even cover the cost of coffee that I had to purchase at the platform to keep my body warm. The only other time I've had something close to this happen was in Copenhagen, and they made sure to have replacement busses within an hour.
Dire service. Trains are knackered, Wifi non existent and costs a bomb..
Always delayed, always cancelled. Prices are reasonable IF it runs smoothly which it does NOT. Where is the gratuity or reduction in price when services are lacking? There isn't because they have a monopoly. It's a joke.
It was a very hot day, the carriage was overcrowded and the air conditioning didn’t work. The ticket inspector came by and opened the few windows but it was still quite uncomfortable. At least the train was on time!
I'm used to mediocre train service in Norway, but the southwestern railway makes Norway train service look great compared. Cancelled trains and random bus replacement. I ended up spending guy Fawkes day at a train station in Romsey. The bus replacement from Southampton to Romsey came two minutes late for the bus replacement from Romsey to Salisbury. So we had to wait an hour for the next. I feel upset when you ruin the first-ever Guy Fawkes day for me. I have one message to organisers of this company, I say like Bart Simpson. Eat my shorts.
Absolutely horrendous from start to finish. Haven’t used a train in years and after such a dreadful service I wont be using it again. Disruptions at every turn, rude staff at Waterloo Station and Salisbury Station. Took four hours, two hours more than it should. At over £50 a ticket !!! for the privilege. No thanks Southwest Trains you’re a disgrace. I pity the poor people that have no choice but to use your dreadful service. Luckily I can drive. Silly me I took the train for ease. What a joke !!!
When you consider that a journey can be anything up to three hours I think it is appalling that there are no luggage racks, anything bigger than a rucksack goes on a seat or blocks the aisle! And not even a trolley service let alone a shop on the longer journeys. Oh and I have yet to be able to use the onboard WiFi, it won't even let me register let alone log in. Terrible service!
