This pier is the most beautiful pier I’ve ever been to…. It’s has everything from restaurants where you eat fish and chips from the pier! And it also has arcades as well and kids rides as well…. And the beach was really nice too! Like was a wonderful day out for me! Hugely recommend going to this pier for a good time!Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
This place is very good for walking along the beach. Very clean and relaxing. Went with my family and cousins. We even forgot how far we've walked and to think it was 3 miles in total, from Clarence Pier to South Parade Pier and back. Some parts were closed, like Exploria and the Southsea Rock Garden for renovation. Although, there were some closures, it was still a nice walk along the beach.
Went to see Sir Jim Davidson in the Gaiety bar, on the pier, he is still brilliant and so so funny, His warm up guy, also excellent, nice essex.boy, it's an excellent venue, shame punk by the sea didn't return, it's got great service. Thanks for a brilliant nightVisited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedYes
Excellent place to take the kids the rides are great even for slightly older ones I would say the food is a little expensive on the pier so maybe worth taking a picnic and enjoying on the beach
This is our second trip here in the past 12 months. However I actually took pictures and notes this time to share!! Parking at this time of year isn't badly priced £8.50 for 5 hours. We paid via Ringo on the app so that we could extend out if needed and there's plenty of parking the full length of the beach. We went to the arcade at South parade pier which was good, had a free cash machine and a good selection of toys in the 2p machines. You also collected tickets on all machines which could be exchanged for toys or sweets at the counter too. We had gyros at the Greek place which was just as good as the first time we had it. If you like Greek food you will love this!!! One wrap, a large mixed box and a portion of chicken meat plus 2 drinks cost £33 which for gyros we've found isn't badly priced at all. We then walked along the beach past the D day memorials and onto the next load of arcades. These had a wider selection of toys and some great grabber machines which you could actually win on for 20p a go my 8yo won a bubble tea toy after 2 tries!. Cons - Cash machines cost between £1.65 and £1.99 for withdrawal and you don't get tickets from their 2p machines. We also had fresh donuts 6 for £6 and various other naughty treats before walking back along the beach. It's really important to note that the beach by South Parade Pier is dog friendly between 30 Sept and 1st May however further round is not. All arcades were dog friendly which is great and we sat inside to eat out gyros with the dog too. All round another great day out and we will be back!
Calm and quiet pier although not peak time when we went so some things were not open because of the time of yearVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Hi, Thanks to the 2 pier maintenance guys who spoke to two bedraggled visitors on a wet Monday morning. Gave us some good local information about museums etc. A credit to the pier experience. Fish & chips in restaurant at end of pier were excellent & the views unrivalled. Recommend a visit.
The Greek food is fresh, made to order and reasonably priced. Delicious. The arcade isn't highly rigged like other venues on the South Coast. Beautiful views, a bar, fish & chips, donuts, ice cream. Perfect way to spend a couple of hoursVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
The pier is a fun place to bring the family, great lunch options, and great amusement options. Also, the sea is very nice to have a dip, and the kids can play in the ocean and look for shells and sea loss. Our family had a wonderful time here, and the costs are reasonable. The weather is always perfect with the sun. Shining everyday and people in such a good mood. We felt at home very comfortable and happy.
Beautiful pier with very accessible fishing area. Bring a foldable chair for fishing and reasonable price for fishing ticket entryVisited onWeekendWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
