Well kept course and facilities. Staff are great, course plays well with a good mixture of holes, so not a boring up and down layout. Played it during a really hot spell so not much could be done about fairways, but greens were still very good, if a little too sandy. Also, massive carpark, so you should comfortably find a space. Would definitely recommend.
Essex Stewards Golf Day - 29th July 2022 Well what can I say about this place and the staff. Absolutely amazing and will go above and beyond the call of duty to provide the best service ever. From booking, to assistance in putting out sponsored hole signs and the catering/bar staff, they always pull it out of the bag. The course is in great condition, even with this very dry weather. The greens are immaculate. Umesh is an asset to South Essex and does not stop. Anyone thinking of booking a golf day should use South Essex Golf Club. We will look forward to seeing you again next year. Thank you Christian
Perfect place to play a round of golf. Even as a beginner, this course was simply lovely to play on. And the whole club had everything to offer.
A big thank you to all at South Essex Golf club who made our golf day great. Golf course was immaculate, couldn't fault it. All the staff made us welcome and the food was brilliant. Would recommend this place for a round or your society day.
I came from over an hour away to play a round with a friend here and have nothing but praise for this golf club. Every single member of staff represents the club so well and can honestly say that each interaction was positive, warm and so welcoming that it made me feel so comfortable that when I got out to the course I felt I could play my best! The condition of the course in October, with all the crazy weather we’ve been having and late into the golfing season, was the best I’ve seen this year. Many thanks to all the staff at South Essex, you’re doing an excellent job.
A fantastically well kept golf course with exceptional challenging greens. Scenic views and great variety to each of the three 9 hole courses. A well run establishment with welcoming and friendly staff and it appears huge investment being made to make the experience even nicer around the course. A gem to be discovered, get your clubs out and get over there.
Just a fantastic venue for a parteeeee!!!!. The staff were amazing. The girls behind the bar were brilliant as was the coordinator names I don't have sorry. A big thank you to you all and I would recommend this venue to anyone wishing to impress their family and friends. Truly the best venue in Essex- a very special place and cant wait to go back.
We recently had a golf society day here, 20 people, booked fairly close to the date we were playing in February. The team at South Essex are professional and all the staff incredibly welcome on the day. Food was excellent and the course in superb condition for Winter - positive feedback all round. I had the pleasure of visiting South Essex Golf Club for the first time today. I was incredibly impressed with the facilities and the atmosphere in the Clubhouse. I was delighted to see an old friend of our family, Umesh Sewnundun who is the Head of Hospitality who has an impeccable history and has worked in only the best places. I am without doubt that what I witnessed today had all the hallmarks of his expertise. I am looking forward to visiting again soon and introducing other friends. Thoroughly recommended in respect of the Golf facilities and the in-house hospitality.
Courses are looking lovely. A lot of attention , time and money has clearly been invested here. I have played here with associates who have played all over UK and they love this course too. Well done all involved. 3 x 9 holes so plenty of choices
