It’s just a nice day out. Coupled with the Rare Breeds Farm over the other side of the platform, it makes a brilliant day with the kids. There’s bits and pieces to view for the older generations as well as fun bits for the kids located on the platform. The train drivers and station staff/volunteers are also lovely, always waving and taking the time to stop and engage with visitors. It’s quite hard to find if you have never been before, but persevere and it’s worth it.

Had a lovely afternoon yesterday to celebrate my Mum's birthday.  We enjoyed a trip to Totnes, the beautiful country side, wonderful railway nostalgia. The staff/volunteers, every one of them, were lovely, friendly, and looked after us, including Mabel, the dog!nWe also enjoyed lunch and ice-cream in Birdies Kitchen. Again, friendly staff, lovely food especially the cheesy chips! and a nice relaxed atmosphere. And thank you for the ice cream treat!!!nIt was all a great afternoon.  THANK YOU.

Today we went on the railway and we had a great experience, the staff were great and the train was awesome. Lots to do at each stop and even time for a hot pasty on the way to the places. We stopped at totnes and had a great day

Another heritage railway visited and ticked off. Gentleman in the ticket office noticed my walking stick and so delicately drew our attention to a disabled traveller concession. Absolutely stunning customer service demonstrated! The railway itself is very well maintained and a delight to travel!
