Beautiful placenFish and chips from the pier chippy are magnificent
Always seems quiet with decent spaces. Watch out for the seagulls who will gather on your car roof within seconds of you leaving it.nnThe ticket machines can be problematic, had to abandon the one near the lifeboat shop and walk a few hundred yards back to the entrance.
Great sea front parking and for access to town, pier, castle and harbour a short walk away.nnMy only complaint was the ticket machine was slow and over complicated leading to a big queue of people to try and pay. It really need to get onto a mobile app parking solution.nnAccessible car park and disable spaces were available. There is also public toilet and beach shower available just be sure to bring your 20p coins.
South beach, the Harbour and Wooden Pier in Aberystwyth are well worth a visit. The wooden pier allows a great view of where the Rheidol and Ystwyth rivers meet to flow into Cardigan Bay. With the tides as well, there are strong currents here in an area known as the Bar.
Easy to find, right next to the beach, also has toilet facilities, cost 40 pence so make sure you have 20 pence coins with you
