What a lovely friendly site, perfectly situated for The Granite Way excellent for cycling and walking.nThe owners and staff of the site are friendly and helpful, the site is clean and very well maintained with hot showers and spotless toilet blocks. Would definitely recommend.
Stopped en-route to Perranporth. Lovely little site and people. Granite way footpath was good for a dog walk in either direction. Shame the Highwayman pub wasnt open on a monday. The Pump & Pedal lacked atmosphere so we didnt eat there, juat had a drink. Shower block isnt the most modern, but was clean, tidy and water plentiful and hot! Would call again for a night or two...
Travelled to this gem of a winter hideaway for our second overnight trip on/in Mabel, the ever faithful campervan. The site was easy to find, 'pitches' aka parking spaces - flat and facilities both totes clean and toasty warm.nWhilst it's a little close to the A30 and as a consequence you can hear the traffic, on the other side is the granite way - a re-established and now tarmac footpath for cycling and running. Whilst I didn't have a bike and didn't fancy a run, there were plenty of nutters who did.nDefinitely a great find over the winter months - and ideal for those who foolishly wish to drive through Devon to stay in Cornwall arguably a waste of fuel and need to stay at a really well run facility; managed by friendly and helpful team.
We loved this very green site with excellent pitches. The new owners, Steve and Marie, couldn't have been more friendly, helpful or accommodating! All amenities are in good order and squeaky clean. Very reasonably priced. Excellent access to bike/walking ways or driving into Dartmoor NP. Easy drive into Okehampton or Tavistock Bus Stop 5 minute walk for supplies. We are looking forward to our next stay.
Great for a quick stop off on the way back from Devon heading north. We booked in very last minute when let down by another campsite in the area and the staff were really helpful. The site is right by the A30 so handy if you're travelling, but there is some road noise. I can't say it bothered us though. Some lovely walks and cycle paths behind the campsite too.
