Had my operation cancelled 3x. Was told to arrive at 7 am for my surgery and made me wait for 8 hours. Nobody updated me during the entire wait, had to ask the staff who are just laughing at the station. Was the last patient in ward 16. I understand that the NHS has problems but this is really upsetting on the patients part. Builds up anxiety. Edit: the ward staff are lovely. Was taken to theatre at 3:30pm.
Called to get an update on a close family members serious surgery for cancer. I got transferred to 3 different departments with each woman in each department not greeting me, sighing heavily and using jargon like “what”, “who you calling for”. Makes me sick they get pay rises to treat people like crap. Hope they get the same experience when they have to ring up for a serious thing like this.
Hi you're not going to be able to get a place in the car park for at least 5 minutes and then allow 10 minutes to get to the main entrance. Also if you have a Blue Badge then a photo of the front of the badge and the other half with the picture of your face on it. That way you won't have to go to your car to get it. And it's free parking as u only have to show it at the security desk beside where you checked in at the main reception. It's free from heartlands hospital as well. U just need to go to the main reception and show them the photo on the badge and they will give you a free ticket to get u out of the car park. I hope this message will help anyone with a Blue Badge who has been paying the whole amount of the car parking fees
Ward 15 preop and ward 12 for stay urology proceedure 12th Aug 2024. For the 3 days I was there, first class service. All staff are so nice and communicative. Op successfully done, food great. Day & Night staff were perfect. Thank you so much.
Went to the Urgent Treatment Unit with suspected foot fracture . From the lady who booked us in, to Ayman the triarge nurse, the x-ray staff, to super conscientious doctor Jo and Debbie who booked a follow up appointment. Everyone was polite, helpful, cheerful and genuinely interested in providing the best care and treatment possible. A template other NHS facilities should adopt.
Just like to thank Solihull hospital they have looked after my partner extremely well. They have made him able to move without being in pain. I think we are all quick enough to knock these hospitals but we should be just as quick to praise them,thank you all at Solihull hospital
I am an outpatient at the Dermatology department. I was suffering badly with an eczema flare up and knew I was going to have to call. Though i was dreading it, the experience was fantastic. Got through immediately, spoke to two ladies who could not have been more helpful and reassuring. Was able to be seen the very next day with the on call consultant as early as 9am. Mere days later im well on the mend. Fantastic staff, caring, considerate, nothing was too much. Best hospital experience ever.
Car park seriously needs to accept contactless/card payments, it’s now 2024. I believe each secretary such as ENT for example should have their own contact number or email at-least so us patients can directly contact them regarding change/cancellation of appointments, or to get copy documents of our previous medical appointments/surgeries. Everything with the NHS is such a lengthy long process I don’t get it.
I went Friday in Pre assessment surgery and I meeting one assistant very kind and professional worker. I not have words to thanks him. Bryan Wong..thank you for every You deserve 5**** for your job Hospital should be prove to have you there Thank u Mister Brian Wong God bless you!!!
I fell off from my bike and got some injuries, so went there for a check. Waited 1.5 hours on a Saturday morning ! Almost decided to leave when a nurse called my name. Nurses there are super friendly and professional. Took good care of me and made sure nothing was wrong before letting me go. Thanks, Nurse Kelly !
