This store is really good if you like good quality gear of an outdoor nature. You could say it’s like an upmarket version of Go Outdoors…. Kinda. Granted it’s not cheap but then you get what you pay for with this type of gear, especially the more specialised snow kit. Staff were very helpful, meeting that nice point in between being not interested - to being a pest. Quite refreshing. We’re not into snow or climbing but we do other outdoor activities so find their array of shoes/boots and variety of top brand clothing good. A nice airy shop to walk around, too.
Had a very good experience buying ski boots today. We made an appointment for a fitting. The assistant was very knowledgeable and skilled at setting boots up and getting the fit correct. Lots of good brands at good prices ski boots are never cheap Everything skiing and snowboarding is available. Parking is good and lots of other brands to browse in running and camping department's
Excellent- great staff member who was so helpful and patient helping me choose a daypack. They weren’t on display nearly went home when I didn’t see any but he got several out for me to try - Really friendly and enthusiastic about the products. I didn’t get his name but he was a Scout leader, and deserves loads of credit for delivering the advice and service I was hoping for, having making the trip to Snow and Rock specially, knowing that you can usually get great help from the staff.
It’s a shame nice shop but no toilet facilities even when you say your desperate. Really don’t think a destination shop like this with large car parking etc would be so basic.
Plenty of ski and snow activities gears could be found. But most of them are pretty professional.
Very big shop ! Full range of ski wear and gear
Five stars because of the service! The staff were so incredibly nice and helpful. I went in for climbing shoes and someone helped me as best as he could. When it seemed the selection of available shoes weren't suitable for me, he suggested other places for me to visit. Snow + Rock is still where we go for all skiing needs, but I'm incredibly grateful for someone not pushing inappropriate shoes onto me.
I went to try and purchase some new ski goggles, the display was an absolute mess with most of the goggles lying on the ground. Understaffed with no one available to help. I'd be embarrassed to work there with such a sub-standard retail display. I was willing to make a decent purchase but walked out without spending anything.
Not the best snow and rock I've been to. Big selection of certain brands, but poor displays and lots of products in boxes waiting to be put out. Wasn't a particularly great experience especially if You're looking to spend £500+ on a jacket and you have to rifle through like you're at a jumble sale
Just wanted to give a 5 star review for Bri who was amazing looking after us choosing snowboard boots, although she herself admitted she wasn’t that knowledgeable! That wasn’t her fault, the shop should have the right people working. It was really busy and she was calm and pleasant all the time. Well done Bri. Hope you enjoy your snowboarding at Hemel Hempstead and get out on the real slopes soon!!
