I had a great experience at Smyths Toys thanks to Callum. He went above and beyond to sort out bikes for both my son and daughter, making sure everything was set up properly and safe for them to use.nHe was friendly, patient, and really knew his stuff, which made the whole process easy and stress-free. It’s clear he genuinely cares about helping customers and making sure kids leave happy.nExcellent service – a real credit to the team!
We came into the store today to purchase a travel system for our baby. We were instantly greeted by Amelia from the baby section who was so incredibly helpful. She helped us pick the correct system for us and was full of knowledge. She showed us how the system works and answered all of our questions. We will definitely come back to smyths again because of the fantastic service. We are beyond grateful.
Disappointing experience at Smyths Toys Superstores in Kidderminster on 19 May 2026.nnThere were umbrellas displayed near the tills and elsewhere on the shop floor with retail tags and barcodes attached, giving the clear impression that they were available to purchase. However, when I asked to buy one, I was told they had been “written off” and could not be sold.nnIf items are not for sale, they should be clearly marked as display only or removed from customer-facing areas entirely. Multiple customers have apparently already asked about the same umbrellas, which only shows how misleading the display is.nnI was also disappointed with the attitude from the manager during the interaction, which came across as dismissive and rude despite this being my first time asking about the item.nnOverall, the situation felt misleading and poorly handled from a customer service perspective.
Called up and was told there would be delivery of an item i wanted in the afternoon so i arrived there around 12:45 and was told it wasnt there and would be a few hours longer so to come back later. I came back around an hour later and the shift must have just swapped over , but the person who served me when i asked said that the delivery had arrived , but they are sorting through stock. I asked if there was a rough idea when it would be done so i could come back in. The manager at the time then said its ready when its ready, and offered no real help. Both the manager and the individual serving me were rude and dismissive.nnDue to not having an actual timeframe , i proceeded to go in every 30-40 mins and see if there had been any updates . One lady i spoke to was really helpful and explained that its more than likely the last pallet and that i should just pop in every 30 mins or so.nnI then saw online that the stock had updated as ‘in stock’ on their website for that particular store , i then went back in and waited at the counter . The person who had been rude up to this point ignored me until the manager said to them, they have a customer waiting. I explained it had been registered as in stock and i could see the product on the trolley infront of them but they responded they have to unpack the whole delivery, i then asked cant i buy the product now as my parking is about to run out , to which he said no and walked into the backroom with the trolley, not allowing me to reply. I then asked the manager and they said yes i can buy the stock now and eventually the person served me.nnNever have i experienced someone who is so rude and ignorant as this person was. Ive generally had good experiences with smyths , namely oldbury. But this person should not be in contact with any customers at all . Their attitude was terrible and they didnt want to help at all, it came across as if they just wanted to make me wait as long as they could.nnThe purchase happened around 3:00pm 10/2/26 and the person who served me was called kitty. They had red hair scraped back and a few facial piercings and they were male description incase they were signed in on anothers id on the till.nnThey are giving the company a bad name and i will never be returning to kidderminster smyths again.
Worst Smyths ever, staff rude unhelpful. At about 5pm some young kids were being rude immediately outside the entrance until one pushed his luck and got pushed by one staff and the kid went on a baby like meltdown. Walked out of the place.
