Anticipate experiencing humiliation in front of your children if you attempt to return any item. I attempted to return a pair of binoculars, but my request was denied due to the fact that the item had just been opened. Exercise caution on the unruly behaviour of the shop's staff and the deceptive practices employed by the establishment.
Imagine a situation where you find yourself dealing with the frustration of encountering refund and return policies that leave much to be desired. To add insult to injury, the staff members handling your concerns don't shy away from using street language when addressing customers. It's a scenario that can leave anyone feeling disheartened! Just BEWARE!!!
In and out all the time feels like I'm never away from the place never had a bad experience. Staff always very helpful anytime I need anything.
Very helpful and friendly staff plenty of toys they sell child seats as well everything under one roof.
Don’t expect to return item without hassle.. today I went to return baby booster seat but they didn’t accept to return the item as It was opened. Be aware of this shop.
Purchased a baby walker for click and collect. It turned out the wheels on it and height was not suitable for my wee boy, on collection day we asked if they had a different one in stock they didn’t. So was told to order it online and get it delivered to the house which was fine. Problem was we where told could bring the baby walker back which wasn’t any good to us unused! Once the receipt comes through on email. On return the manager said could not return it for hygiene reasons. I understand the situation with the virus as I work in retail myself. But the item was unused so I don’t understand what the problem is. We travelled far to this store to be told this when originally it wouldn’t of been a problem. As working in retail I strive to deliver good customer service and this is not!! Wasted journey fuel etc, I am now stuck with something that’s no good! As seen on other reviews they do not answer their phone
My little lad lost a bit of his dron. Avril in customer services replaced it with a voucher. Brillant
Great selection and normally very helpful staff. However today one staff member was downright rude to my wife. Someone called Lorraine, acted like a huffy teenager when searching for an item. I appreciate Christmas is a high pressure time in retail, but a smile and friendly attitude costs nothing. I'm afraid poor customer service and continually tutting , refusing to make eye contact will cost you the future custom of our family.
I understand the pressures at this time of the year and added with COVID-19 put into the mix things can be difficult. This is no excuse for the deceitful way I was treated. The store manager just attempt a untrustworthy explanation to palm me off. I would have rather him be respectful and truthful than be completely deceptive. I definitely would recommend to avoid this Ballymena store as it is not fit for purpose. All Pressure is very real in business at the moment and difficult to navigate but treating your customers with contempt is a way to go out of business very fast. Some Good advice take your hard earned money and spent it with business or stores who appreciate your support.
I had the occasion to visit Smyth's Toys superstore in Ballymena today for collection only. I had placed an online order yesterday evening and received confirmation by email that my order was ready for collection. Having arrived at the store my phone ran out of charge hence I had no notification to hand. Staff member Lorraine went beyond the call of duty and traced my goods. I was afforded first class service by a first class staff member. Well done!
