My go to comfort Sunday dinner. If you want a hassle free consistently good quality Sunday dinner with no messing about this is the place to go. It has some of the best gravy I've had in any pub or restaurant. The staff are always super nice and the service is fast. I personally go here atleast every 2/3 weeks but often more than that. I always recommend Food Service Price Menu variety Atmosphere Parking
My friends booked Sunday lunch for my birthday treat. Lovely little local pub food was delicious, staff were friendly. You need to book especially on a Sunday Small and fill up quickly.
Lovely Sunday dinner . Beef was beautiful, chicken was also very nice.
Work night out, visited last year and thoroughly enjoyed every aspect this year....just no .ALL PRE ORDERED AND DEPOSIT PAID...starter of garlic mushrooms....2 mushrooms, no garlic, spread over 3 pieces of thinnest pieces of hard bread with the 'side salad' in the middle of the plate!!!!. We all had to swap steaks according to the cooking......fantastic atmosphere but the food... lacking because they waitrss had no idea.and we were cold
Came to visit family from barrow an came here for a family meal on Wed 11th Jan and it certainly did not dissapoint !!! 13 meals all fab no complaints here... Everything from the food to the staff and the atmosphere were faultless...Will definitely come back next time we visit ...thankyou.
Absolute cracker of a pub, beautiful inside and out. Lovely beer garden and outside summerhouse. Excellent food served.
Food is ok. Not great eating and having the waft of cannabis coming through the pub from out in the beer garden though.
Loved the food and the lady taking our orders was a scream, definitely will be returning.

My friends and I ate at the Smiths last night . There were 8 of us and can honestly say the food was absolutely awful. Every meal had something wrong with it.Steak was cold,Scampi was overcooked and dry,curry was tasteless, fish was nothing but batter,peas were stone cold and the mixed salad was lettuce leaves and chopped peppers.I don't know how to describe the mushrooms other than dried out fungi. I would not recommend this place for a meal .
