Smiles Dentist in Biggin Hill is first class. Here is a list of reasons why I have said this:nEasy booking procedure. Reminder of appointment made the day before the appointment. Polite and friendly communication with all staff. The dentist who treats me is so professional; very considerate and careful doing my dental check-up, which has always been conducted very gently. Without a doubt, the best dentist I have ever had.
I’ve been with Smiles since I was very young but I’ve been very disappointed with them recently. Since June, it’s now almost January 7 months I’ve been waiting to hear back from my referral about getting my bottom wisdom teeth out. Absolute joke. My wisdom teeth are causing me so much pain and when I call to chase they say I need to wait longer and get on more antibiotics? I can’t keep taking antibiotics!!!!! VERY disappointed.nnOn top of this, back in June, I was messed around with the x rays and I had to keep coming back. I had 3 x-rays altogether because the photos weren’t good for some reason.nnNot really sure what to do because of course, they were quick enough to take my money & charge me for a service I still haven’t received back in June …nnUpdate : I spoke to the Receptionist today to call about my wisdom teeth infection and she prescribed me antibiotics. We spoke about my referral and she said I would have general anaesthetic shock, no one told me this. Ken confirmed I was having numbing injections. The receptionist was very manipulative and spoke down to me and told me the reason that this had happened was because I was being referred to the hospital because the other places had “rejected me”. When she called me back, she told me that I am being removed from their client list and I need to go to another practice. I explained that I’m happy to stay and that I don’t want to go elsewhere and she refused and cancelled future appointments. And she said I should have spoken to them before leaving my review. I have tried to express my concerns about the wait time for the referral about 5 times before so felt my last resort was to leave a review which ended up in me being taken off their books. Awful customer service, can a customer not express concern anymore? Ken has always been lovely to me over the years but the Receptionist clearly lets the practise down. Very very disappointed. May I add, I was never at any point rude to the Receptionist and the way I have been treated is very unfair.
The practice has helpful and friendly receptionists, unlike some I have been to and the dentists are generally on time and efficient. Appointments are usually short for me with a check up, scale and polish. The dentist explains any issues clearly and is happy to answer any queries.
While I don’t look forward to going to the dentist have always felt very comfortable and well treated by Dr. Ken. Reception staff always very helpful also so would highly recommend this practice.
My son and I recently visited the practice we both required fillings. My son is a very nervous patient and the dentist we saw could not have been kinder or more understanding. He treated me as well and I have to say he was very gentle in his manner and in the way he carried out the work.
