This place could have great potential if they were more organised. Sunny day and busy both inside and out, was warned 35mins wait on food, which we agreed to but an hour later tables which ordered after us were being served meals but still nothing for me and my diabetic wife, could not wait any longer and expained why we were leaving and offered to pay for drinks which they accepted as we were offered a very lame "well we are busy " as way of explanation. Maybe we caught them on an off day, but simple things such as staff clearing tables on the way back to the kitchen, more communication between staff and staff actually knowing what stage each of their tables are at, would make this a more efficient and pleasurable experience for both staff and customers.

Great place for coffee, tea and cakes. Good selection of food and it is delicious! Staff is really friendly and for the botanist's it is also a great place with a huge selection! Preferred place to be on a sunny Scottish day!

Nice place for lunch - excellent plants in the nursery - quality - not Dobbies style - good food and huge teapots full and plenty teabags in! Bird feeders very amusing - cheerful even on a grey day.

Great location, nice looking selection of trees. The tearooms are great, located in an old greenhouse, bird feeders attached to the windows to entertain the children. Food good if a tad expensive. Cake good too, if only a tad thinly cut. Well worth a visit.

Nice setting for the tearoom, with bird feeders on the windows (and lots of birds to see). Food is average.
