Not sure if ever been in a such intimate place before... just few tables and a lovelly room to have a bite or as is says a small talk : love the name and it perfectly fit the tea room, elements and decorations. As was in a day trip I needed a quick lunch due to limited time bedore leaving location and to be able to see the beautiful town. The lasagne was perfect and delicious assuming was cooked before I choose this dish so I didn't need to wait a long time : Many thanks!
It was rather cute cafe. The staff was polite and welcomed us. The place inside is cosy and warm with old English architecture. Building itself has been kept in its original shape from outside. Limited seating and you’d be lucky if you get space at busy time. I don’t believe they have reservations. Food was delicious and affordable with value I was expecting. So yeah, it was all great experience. 5 stars for everything and definitely recommended.
What a lovely, quaint cafe to get savoury and sweet delights. We got a mac and cheese, and a mushroom cheese omelette and both were so delicious! Really hearty, homemade goodness. We had to rush because we had only an hour and had to go but how I wished we had more time to try the scones and have a cuppa coffee! Another major thumbs up to the lovely people and service here.
Lovely scones with good atmosphere. But the waitress needs to be sacked. A discredit to the village cafe. She has an attitude problem and goes around with a sour face if you are not her same skin colour. Should be more welcoming to other foreign tourists. Not this place. For a good 5 star experience please go to another cafe. Kid-friendliness: Not kid friendly. Not baby friendly . Only friendly and welcoming to white people.
Bourton on the water is a gorgeous part of the uk and it was a pleasure to find this gem nestled right in the heart of the town centre. We were seated in the compact cafe and greeted with a hearty welcome by the staff. They were very friendly and accommodated me in my request for an additional scone as the first was too good. We were given a generous portion of cream and a pot of tipree raspberry jam. The environment was quaint and I would thoroughly recommend..
This is a great place and well worth the wait. The cream tea was exceptional- great scones. We enjoyed the courtyard, but the inside was really cozy. It seemed like everything you order here would be good.
We stopped at this lovely little tea room a couple of days ago and we both had a delicious omelette and a cuppa of course. Our waitress was really lovely. It is only a small cafe but no sooner someone left their table it was occupied straight away! Thoroughly recommend it!
Lovely spot, and the cheese scone was delicious. Cappuccino was served warm, but the young waitress was happy to address it. Sadly the establishment made it difficult for my disabled mum and blind sister to be accommodated. We overlooked the sign explaining to wait to be seated, for which we apologised, but we arrived at a busy time, so the staff appeared flustered with us.
Curdled milkshake !! Me and my partner went into the cafe for some some food and drink. Sadly I was served curdled milkshake. When told the first waiter about it she said "yep that's curdled and walked off with it". No apology. Then the manager came over with the new one and said " it's just like being at school" laughing while saying it. Also said just after that " if don't like it then must be the powder" not acknowledging or apologise about it being served and drinking a mouthful of gone off milk. You can see the food coming out the freezer and just being thrown in microwave. Then before being served, they throw handful of cheese over it. So currently writing this review wile not feeling so good from the milk and worst thing of all, still had to pay the full money including the drinks. Would recommend going elsewhere. Shame as apologies can go a long way. place was not busy when was there. Look forward to hearing from you soon. Vegetarian options: Very limited. Kid-friendliness: No space for prams. Says on door Parking: 90 min parking about 5 min walk away Wheelchair accessibility: No space Dietary restrictions: Gluten free options more expensive. Says on menu
Best little spot for a tea break when it’s a bit cold outside! Great hot chocolate and was stoked to have a gluten free scone :
