Had my first visit here this evening, and we all very impressed. The welcoming staff, decor, atmosphere, food and service were of an excellent standard. Michelle is so lovely, helpful and friendly. Definitely be returning very soon, a very nice village pub that is a popular spot. Thank you all so very much. Keep up the amazing work.
Couldn't have been more helpful ...staff were great food amazing and to top it all celtic in cup final ..thanks slevins be back soon
I brought my friend who was visiting from Surrey. Food was lovely, my friend had salmon, we were so disappointed to be charged an extra €1.50 for tartar sauce of which only one spoonful was usedp. We queried this & was told that it was policy & on the menu which we hadn't noticed. We asked to see the manager, she told us she was the floor manager, thought that she should have used her discretion & not charged us. My friend was picking up the tab & I was embarrassed by this add on. Following day we met friends in Davy Byrne's in Duke Street. I had hake which came with tarter sauce & no charge. My husband loves tarter sauce & often asks for extra & is never charged. Spoke to my friend last night, home after her visit & she mentioned it again!!!!!!!!!
What an amazing place. Food was really nice. Specially the spicey wings. But what stands out even more is the service. Staff are super friendly and eager to help. Even when not sure about something happy to go and ask instead of making something up which I absolutely love. Definitely will be back and a place everyone should go to at least once
A perfect travel experience. Warm, welcoming and excellent. Food was terrific and staff is world class. Recommend without reservationFood: 5/5
Lovely food, friendly.....courteous staff, relaxed atmosphere
Great day as a guest in beer garden section celebrating laylas communion, excellent spot, great food, bar staff and Thompson the floor staff was brilliant , attention to detail keeping an eye on us all day, and looking after us. I'll deffo be back
Called during the week to book a table and was told that it's walk ins only and they don't take reservations. Arrived today there was no tables free. Asked if I could book a table and again I was told they don't take reservations however there was several tables with reserved signs. I had asked how come tables are reserved when I was told no reservations allowed and it's walk ins only. They told me the people for that table would arrive in 10 mins.i asked again if I could reserve a table then to come in 10 mins and was told no. horrendous way to treat customers. Get your policy's correctm either you take reservations or you don't. I would absolutely suggest not wasting your time on entering this amateur run establishment. Much better choices to choose from in Dunboyne. It's a real shame this pub was taken over as it was run a lot better before it changed hands. Makes you wonder what experience the new owners really have.
Great staff, great food. Lovely service. No complaints!
I have a gluten allergy and whilst they don’t label allergens on their menu, the staff were so accommodating and informed me of every item I could and could not eat they also had a lot of gf selections - something that can be rare to find! The linguini was the best pasta dish I’ve ever ordered. Would definitely recommend!
