A BIG THANK YOU TO LUKE...at the sound bar skipton...great service from the bar man...atmosphere and music was great considering I only like trance/trance however been over 3hrs from home and in north yourshire miles from large city life this stop was certainly worth it...good solid music and apparently they have live gigs too... the locals where very welcoming considering my astetics and acent...close to the bus station and opisit the fleece nr the unicorn hotel.. plenty of free parking after 6pm... facilities are only for paying customers and considering the foot fall on a hot sunny Saturday evening where very clean and usable however wheel chair access may need to check before entering for use of facilities Not rowdy not ruff smoking area outside with ashtrays and railings to separate the area
What a fantastic bar and music venue! A really entertaining and very friendly open mic night with a wealth of different talent that was an absolute pleasure to hear. Lovely range of beers and ciders, friendly and helpful bar staff. Mike Burtoft runs the best open mic that we’ve ever been to. We had some nice chats with the performers there, a great atmosphere. Thoroughly recommended!
The sound bar is handy for the bus station I have called a few times for coffee the service is always good but today it was warm and cold drink was in order so I asked for a shandy and by gum it hit the spot just what I needed, will call again when I am in town Wheelchair accessibility: Handy entrance for a chair

What a brilliant pub and record shop. I loved this place and spent rather too much money on some absolute gems for my vinyl collection. The guy behind the music desk was such a lovely bloke to talk to, and the beer selection was superb. I had a lovely local dark beer. A must visit if you're in Skipton and like your beer and your music.
I'm 61yr old and never left a review for anything before good or bad but I was visiting Skipton to shop and was waiting outside for a friend to go home so I went in for a drink to sit outside as lovely weather, I am a massive music fan and loved hearing 'ghost town' by the specials playing as I went to the bar, and felt compelled to tell bar staff what a great pub/record shop it seemed, I chatted briefly about the song, they were lovely and friendly and if they thought I was a 'crazy woman' they certainly didn't show it! I regretted that I couldn't stay long but just wanted to say I could have spent hours there as interesting decor and the music was great and I would love to go back at a different time and spend a lot longer! The atmosphere is the same as a music lovers feeling when listening to own collection? that feeling that can't be explained? and there was only myself there at that time, maybe I am just a 'crazy woman'!?! But I felt the place is quite unique and whenever I'm next in Skipton I'll definitely go in again but for much longer, a nice change from 'chain' cafes etc..
In the centre of Skipton, great bar with seating outside as well. Good mix of music playing, rock, punk etc. Bands playing and one was actually setting up when we were there, so got chatting with them. There is also an area where you can buy vinyl and see old school rock and punk posters on the wall. Great bar give it a try!Service: 5/5
