Food was really nice. Chips could have done with another 5 minutes in the fryer. Staff managed quite well on a busy Saturday night. Was the only takeaway with a queue, so must be popular with the locals.
Not sure what the recent bad reviews are talking about…. we always phone ahead with our order and collect - very good service. Found staff to be very polite and nice! I had battered red pudding supper, husband had chip butty. Very good batter - no issues! We always use this chippy rather than head out elsewhere unless we happen to be in another area. The chips aren’t the absolute best we have ever had but still good in our opinion!
Great local chippy, good quality ingredients and friendly service. Great that there's a gluten free night every second Wednesday now, and the langoustines they sometimes do are fantastic. Dietary restrictions: Every second Wednesday they have a gluten free evening.

I love the fish suppers at Skippers, but I will have to switch to the small Battered Haddock with no chips, the £9.50 price for just a Medium Haddock Supper is making it tough to continue.
Had a takeaway from here for the first time tonight. The chips was the worst I’ve ever had from a chipper, weren’t even half cooked. The chicken fillets weren’t great and they didn’t even bother buttering the bun for my husbands order. Total waste of money.
Fish supper a bit pricey but other items on menu are priced okay.
