I was recommended to go to Skidz by another retailer of SatNav equipment. My TomTom couldn’t be updated. ‍ From the first contact with Craig I felt assured. He recommended I replace my TomTom with a Kenwood Car Play system which works great for me. I mentioned I had a problem with my rear view camera not functioning at night. He was up for having a look. His team discovered the LED’s had been wired wrongly by the original installer which had caused the lights to be on permanently and they had ‘burnt out’. Now for the first time I can see clearly at night and my rear view comes on when I engage reverse gear. Fantastic. I used to have to press a separate button to switch the camera on and off. Altogether a fantastic company to deal with. Honest. Knowledgeable. Professional. I think the price was very fair especially when you realise how good the service is. Even a clean, calm waiting area with free coffee. Can’t recommend them enough.
I recently used Skidz to carry out an upgrade to the entertainment unit on my Porsche 911 991 so that I could use Android Auto/Apple Car Play, Google Maps, Spotify etc. I was recommended Skidz by the unit upgrade manufacturer Integrated Automotive. I spoke with Craig the owner of Skidz before I went ahead and he was very helpful and knowledgeable, as I had a number of questions about the upgrade before I wanted to go ahead. On the day of the work Craig and his team were very welcoming and they had been upfront about the time it would take, which could be a number of hours since a lot of prep work was required to get access to the control box. I'm glad that I chose a company experienced at doing this kind of work, it isn't something I would like to have attempted myself.nAfter the work was complete Craig took me though the operation of the software. We had some issues getting the sound to work with my Android phone on Spotify but Craig was very methodical in diagnosing the problem, trying his own Iphone then using a colleagues Androids phone to narrow down the problem to my phone -which turned out to be simply the bluetooth volume level on my phone. Craig also tried my phone connection with the car when it was just in the ignition position and discovered that the phone would not always connect fully unless the car was actually running. The team also installed a new accessible USB point which would allow my phone to connect via cable so I could charge as well as the option to wirelessly connect to the car.nI was impressed with Craig's attention to detail and his desire to make sure everything worked and was understood. Considering the complexities of marrying up newer and older hardware and software I'm surprised the work went as smoothly as it did. What stood out to me was Craig and his teams desire to make sure the upgrade was working correctly and as expected.nCraig also made me aware of a local Porsche enthusiasts club that was useful to know of. So it has been a really positive experience using Skidz.nI am thinking of getting the wheels changed to a silver colour so I may be back to talk to them about powder coating!nBased on my experience so far I would highly recommend Skidz.

Best prices for tyres even compared to the usual online companies.nThey were even able to cure a wheel wobble that NO OTHER tyre fitter could cure!nnThe team are always welcoming and willing to help, even remembering faces and vehicles which is real VIP treatment!nnHaving used their tyre service for the last 8+ years, I was now in the position to use their wheel refurb service.nQuick turn around, colour matched to factory specifications and VERY reasonably priced.
Travelled to SKIDZ in Falkirk for a QUICKSILVER Exhaust to be fitted to my Defender V8 all was fine until I reached Falkirk and my SATNAV failed what a nightmare trying to find my way to SKIDZ it was Friday afternoon with traffic and road works. I was booked in for 12.30 and didn't arrive until 2pm. Sam was very patient and did his very best and got us to SKIDZ he promised the car would be completed that afternoon and it was, they arranged a Taxi to get us to our hotel and sent a driver to pick us up when the car was ready our driver was Isaac he deserves a very special thank you and he offered to let me follow him back to our hotel.nSam and all his team deserve a special thank you for there hard work on a Friday afternoon and a special thank you to Isaac.nThe QUICKSILVER exhaust looks great and sounds fantasticnTHANK YOU
Great service,nWent in last week to pick new wheels for my moter home, explained what I was looking for the staff showed me what I could have due to the weight of the van I picked the ones I liked. The chap phoned me yesterday booked it in for first thing this morning 08.00 all fitted and old ones put in the new one boxes with new wheels nuts fitted. Staff very helpful and friendly, free tea and coffee couldn’t fault the service I just received and love the wheels awesome.
