Never had any problems. Yes its busy and you usually have to try numerous times to get through but this is normal!! Working in health care myself its sad to see reviews slating a practice because the phone lines are busy. They are busy because other patients are on the line being helped by the staff. It's not a limitless service. Keep up the good work.... GP land is tough just now and your doing a great job with the resources that you have and many of your patients appreciate that.
I am so very lucky in dealing with Dr Stone Just the best to communicate with when you get her on the phone. She is just so intelligent and discusses all so sensibly. As the diabetic doctor in the practice she has the highest of credentials.
Had an appointment with nurse Charlotte Quite the best professional ever. Utterly thorough and put one totally at ease. Thoroughly recommend...
Doctors and nurses generally are good, but the amount of times you phone and cannot get through is ridiculous and must cause a lot of elderly and vulnerable people a lot of stress. Then when you do get through you get interrogated about why you called and if you're not able to get treated as a duty patient, good luck getting an appointment any time soon. Some staff are friendly and others really defensive and rude.
I have never been able to get through on the phone it’s a joke they don’t have a hold line and just a busy tone? Tried for a day straight multiple times absolute joke
I can't thank Dr Oag and the staff enough for their support of my complex medical needs.
Been registered here since 1998. Never had a problem with the reception staff, particularly over the last 5 years. Have had more need to consult a GP over the past 5 years, been able to get emergency appointments or same-day telephone call-back when needed without problem. Can now make appointments and order repeat prescriptions online - which i find excellent. I was only ever less than happy with service from one particular GP who is no longer at the practice.
Disgraceful receptionists phoned regarding my daughter covered in spots and temperature wanted get her checked over she told me she was cutting off my call as they refused to help me any further saying doctors nurses busy no idea when I get called back if at all sooo stressful as a mum worried for her child awful way to treat a patient no compassion or patience whatsoever seemed intent on making things as miserable and awful for me while trying to get medical help .... Another two receptionists when I called back just as dismissive and spoke to me like I was a nuisance instead of calling for help for my child ...horrible experience at this practice I dread having to call them for any help again on the plus side I got an appointment at half ten but what an awful exhausting way to get it I was just glad she got seen by a professional person and not a useless phone answerer with no interest in helping patients at all just upsetting people ... Thank you though to the very kind nurse or doctor who saw my daughter and reassured me Sarah was fine just chicken pox but I felt better having it diagnosed properly in the first place . Practice manager is Nicola elder apparently you might want to send every one of those receptionists I spoke to on a training course their attitude was disgraceful if they consider that their behaviour was helping a mum worried about her child then they should be in another job ....
I phoned yesterday to ask about signing on with the practice having recently moved into the area. Very helpful lady answered and gave me all the information I needed. Hopefully all will go smoothly once I give my registration form. Update - got registered and have had online consult followed up by call from Doctor. Very pleased.
Lovely receptionist today when we came in to register!
