Attended Skegness UTC on 9 Nov and was seen very quickly. Staff could not have been kinder or more helpful. The clinician explained everything very well. I was sent for X-ray on site and the radiologist was also very kind and helpful.
On arrival I had to ask where to go and the group of people I asked didn't know. I was shown where to go, a polite nurse call me through. Everything went as well as expected. The hospital was clean and everyone was wearing masks.
Advice from our GP to go to urgent care made the mistake of picking Skegness hospital,I won't again it was awful the room wasn't nice no one came to check on anyone was there almost 4 hours and although we were triaged on arrival when my partner finally got seen was told before the nurse even had a look we can't treat it we aren't AE !!! Which is fair enough but why weren't we told that on booking in and when triaged by a nurse to have to sit it that awful room floor wasn't clean noisy machines , uncomfortable chairs was a very stressful experience he'd been bleeding for almost 7 hours and he's in blood thinners , just seemed that no one cared ,I'm a massive supporter of the NHS but in this occasion they fell short.
I visited the UTC needing treatment to a wound on my leg. The whole experience from start to finish was made as easy and stress free as possible. The receptionists were welcoming and efficient, I was seen within ten minutes by a very polite, kind, and empathetic nurse. Every stage of treatment was explained fully and carried out with minimal fuss and no pain! Highly recommend, this was better treatment than I’ve had in some of the larger hospitals in the past. Thank you!
Would like to thank the staff in A&E for the fantastic treatment & care I was given when I came in with multiple wasp stings . From the lady on the reception desk & the 2 nurses/doctor. Brilliant treatment thank you so much xx
