Do not under any circumstances park in these car parks at the hospital/ urgent care. I parked here, got a ticket for my car for all day. 2 weeks later got a letter saying my car was illegally parked without paying. I put in an appeal as I have all the evidence, from the bank statement, to the actual printed parking ticket the machine gave me and a timestamp from the machine showing I paid. The company that deals with issuing tickets then told me that due to the machine not working me and other people I knew from the A&E and the machine not putting the full reg on the ticket even though we put them in on the machine we was told we owed a fine still as the full reg did not appear on the ticket. It’s not just me this happened to it was over 5 people that went to A&E that day so it’s not human error. So not only did I go myself due to breaking a toe/foot and having swelling but got hit with a fine after. Do not give money to these car parks as you will just get scammed. All staff were also very dismissive and told me I shouldn’t be in as much pain as I was until they realised I had actually broken my foot/toe.nRidiculous!
I had an appointment in one of the clinics this morning and from the moment I walked in I found the two members of staff I met were absolutely wonderful, both the lovely receptionist and the lovely lady in charge of the clinics in the outpatient dept, the friendliness was totally genuine and put everyone at ease, I cannot fault them so thank you so much, you are both a credit to the NHS.

I visited the UTC needing treatment to a wound on my leg. The whole experience from start to finish was made as easy and stress free as possible. The receptionists were welcoming and efficient, I was seen within ten minutes by a very polite, kind, and empathetic nurse. Every stage of treatment was explained fully and carried out with minimal fuss and no pain! Highly recommend, this was better treatment than I’ve had in some of the larger hospitals in the past. Thank you!
