My experience with sixt has been great. the car pick up and drop off was very easy and convenient. The car was full on fuel and everything was quick at the reception. There was a bit misunderstanding at the return time logged by the employee at the airport but it got fixed by talking to the customer care. I loved every part of SIXT car hire, from using their web app, app to picking the car up and returning it. Suggest drivers to always take additional protection so that you don't have to think about any problems.
Smooth hiring process. Mr. Stuart explained T&C's well and also gave me very good upgrade from my original booking. Car was clean and had very less mileage. Easy return experience as well.
I am in continuous professional car hire for the past 6 years, 1.5 of them being with Sixt and the last year with this branch. During this duration I had to swap cars, lots of times I was being called to drop in and when I was arriving there was no car available, wasting 1,5 hour of my time. Some of the cars had issues like bad alignment, tyres worn below the legal limit leading to hydroplaning even melted food leftovers in the door-bin. A mistake by Sixt resulted in the termination of my subscription recently. The branch manager informed me that is impossible to renew and was asking me - the client - to update him on the status of my account, imagine that. What seemed impossible was sorted in an hour by the customer service in Germany thankfully. Although, I can understand that mistakes will occur as part of daily business. How are remediated defines the professionals. Until now, unfortunately no action has been taken by the branch, plaguily ignoring my requests. This review applies to this specific branch as I received exceptional service from other branches in the EU and UK.
Had a wonderful car hire experience with SIXT at Glasgow Airport. We received the brand new Audi Q3 and I was the first one to drive it. Definitely recommend this place and a Special thanks to ma man ISL at the desk
I had a pleasant experience renting a car for the first time abroad. Professional, attentive, honest, and helpful team members. The car was received clean and well preserved, being only 6 months. I want to thank the person who was responsible of handling our car collection process on Nov 14, 2022 at 12:30 pm. I want to also thank Norman for being super nice and lovely during the car return process.
1. we booked Skoda Karoq but when we arrived the staff gave us Toyota. In my aspect, I think toyota is not a similar level with Skoda. Therefore we told the staff but he just said "I think toyota is better than Skoda" as a replied. 2. And another issue come, the toyota is a Plug-in version. As a tourism , We don't know how to charge our car and the staff doesn't tell us either. So we rent the car without charging for almost 6 days. If you know a little bit about the cars you will know that Plug-in car without charging it will become gas guzzler. All in all, this time was a bad experience of renting the car.
We hired a car from Sixt at Glasgow airport and had a great experience. The car rental was fairly priced. The car itself was clean, the whole process from start to finish was very smooth. Kai was extremely helpful and friendly at both collection and drop off, thank you to him. Thanks again
Do not rent cars here. A simple 3 day car rental has turned into a nightmare. My credit card has been charged 5 separate amounts totalling around $4000 Canadian dollars and exceeded my credit limit. It should have been $1033 for the rental and the deposit. That’s it! Now there’s no recourse. They won’t help. They say I need to contact my bank. I’ve provided them with screen shots of the multiple charges to my card. It’s infuriating. Very awful experience.

They don't even deserve 1 star! Avoid at all cost, unless you enjoy being treated like dirt! Absolutely terrible customer service. Had to book a car for the same day, and despite availability on the website, positive confirmation and payment taken for a suitable car, when I came to pick it up, there was no car available. I was told that for same day bookings there is a possible cancellation window of 2h, but I did not receive a cancellation within that time. It also does not mention said cancellation window in the terms and conditions or where it would be even more useful in the important rental information that gets sent out with the confirmation email. It was far longer than 2h after the confirmation was sent to me for my booking, when the cancellation email arrived, and I was in fact already on my way to pick up the car, so only saw it when I got there. The member of staff at Glasgow airport was not even apologetic about the mistake Sixt had made. He even said when I arrived that he had not expected to see anybody this evening. He just told me that there was no car available, that my booking was cancelled and clearly expected me to just go away. There was no apology, no admission that it was their fault, that someone should have been in touch much earlier if there was a problem, etc. He was too junior to make any decisions, but also refused to get in touch with his manager or phone their own customer service to find a solution to the problem. I don't care if the booking system is not fit for purpose or if it was a mistake but for a large company like Sixt, I was absolutely shocked that they thought it was ok to treat a customer like this and that the member of staff clearly felt it was not even worth to try and be helpful. I was assured I get a refund but this has not happened yet either.
