Excellent Restaurant!! Food is amazing, staff lovely, well worth a visit!!
Food was fine. Service was mixed, nice staff but lots of mistakes with the orders. No changing table and we were told to go out and use a public one. When I asked if they could share my feedback that a changing table was essential for families and so easy to provide, I was told they had one but it was a big job to install it. I suggested a stand alone table that could be folded as an interim measure. They replied "sure where would we put it?". Really basic customer service missing. A simple, sorry and thanks for your feedback would have done.
Nice Decor, good atmosphere, friendly staff. Only complaint is regarding a slight delay in the serving time for the duck dish, around 30-40 minutes waiting when the restaurant was not full for which the staff apologized several times. Constructive suggestion: some dishes do take more to prepare so be open and tell the customer to expect some preparing time as each dish is cooked to order. Quality is superb and the price is very competitive with other places in a few miles radius.
This Restaurant is now closed and there are no signs up to inform the the clientele of future plans. Love this restaurant. Far more than a local eatery with a fabulous menu and great quality food to enjoy. Great value so keep an eye out for their promotional offers. Definitely worth a visit.
Delicious, beautifully presented food in a lovely relaxing space, with really friendly helpful staff. You can taste the great quality in the ingredients. I'm vegetarian and have a few allergies so I'm awkward to feed, but on my first visit there were several options I could eat, and on Easter Sunday, as the menu was different, they adapted an amazing risotto for me without batting an eyelid. It makes a huge difference to your experience at a restaurant when staff don't make you feel awkward about your allergies, it makes me want to hug them! On Easter we needed to take food home for a sick family member and although they didn't have specific take-away boxes they lent us one of their own bowls to bring back whenever suited us. The location might seem out of the way for some but it's extremely convenient - heaps of parking and a luas right beside it. This restaurant would be worth making an effort to get to, but because of the transport options you don't even have to!
Food was nicely presented but was average. There were a few mistakes by the staff but that didn't affect our experience. Kids mashed potato was dried up, same with the potato, black pudding and apple dressing on my pork dish. May have been sitting under the heater in the kitchen too long.
I hate giving any business low ratings and I do so here as a constructive comment. Firstly, settings were beautiful, warm and background music good and not too obtrusive. Service was friendly and casual which was rather good. There was a large group present in the restaurant which were rather loud and waitress suggested us moving which we did. The group had kids with them who actually had roller skates on which we felt disturbed the ambience. Not blaming the restaurant but they should have had a word. The food was average at best. I had chicken wings, while small were plenty and tasty. My wife had soup which was novelly poured in front of her but there just wasn't enough of it. The mains were dry. I ordered a Peroni beer on draught and the waitress informed me they had run out. I found this absolutely bonkers as this was a Friday evening going into the weekend not Monday or Tuesday. On our way out we nearly fell over two pair of roller skates left in the doorway. Potential to be a cracking restaurant, just needs solid management across the board.
Superb restaurant at very reasonable prices. I dined here on Valentine's night from the very good value set menu - top quality food, good choice, food was beautifully presented, very pleasant dining area and nice attentive service staff. This restaurant deserves wider recognition and is a great local alternative to travelling into town.
Michelin quality food without the price tag! A hidden gem that everybody should visit as soon as they can. Beautiful decor, amazing food beautifully presented and a fantastic friendly service.
Great food, friendly staff, lovely restaurant, But absolutely ridiculous closing times. Myself and my boyfriend went to take a seat at 7.15pm to be told that the cheff is finished work at 7pm. That to me is utterly gobsmacking!! What well running restaurant closes at 7pm!!
