The flavour of the food here is exemplary, I had the set menu for 2 at £25.95 and we should have enough for tomorrow too.nOne bad point though - I did find the colour of the food almost fluorescent and unnatural.
This is going to definitely be my Indian takeaway of choice now. Absolutely delicious, prawn purée was perfect and my chicken Korai was so tasty and the chicken was cooked to perfection and even though I’m sure I ordered a popadom I ordered the tray of chutney and they forgot it it’s still so worth 5 stars. High recommend!
Have been using sitar for sometime however unfortunately this time felt I needed to write this negative review .nnSays on the front of menu just ask if you want things to be vegan, so we have been . However realised some weeks ago one of the breads we had been ordering was made with butter. One of the gentleman did let us know this when we phoned one time, and we perhaps put that down to being our mistake as well as maybe it was obvious it should've been. However they hadn't let us know the previous times we ordered it .nnAnyway, we ordered last night at 6:40 and the food didn't arrive till 8:45 . When eating my vegetable korma which I has asked to be vegan, there was a bit of chicken in it .nnHonestly if you don't want to serve vegan food then don't, or if you are going to advertise and say it on your menu that you do, then do it properly . Not some half arsed attempt .nnTherefore don't trust that what they cooking is actually vegan and they're just taking bits out .nnThe chicken actually looked like it was tandoori rather than korma, so I'm not sure why that ended up in that dish. Which doesnt say much for cross contamination etc, with regards to nut allergies and so on if it had been a different bit of food .nnSo ,.all in all, paid £38 for a takeaway , took over two hours to arrive and had chicken in the 'vegan' korma.nnSo unfortunately won't be going there again, and shame because it was nice having a takeaway in Bethesda .
They could not or would not tell me if anything we ordered had egg in it. Our daughter has an egg allergy, so she could not eat any of the food. The food was not great either. I was excited about being back in Bethesda as i have fond memories of eating from here. But just terrible service
Great tasting food and a huge selection available on the website. The order arrived a little later than expected, but this blow was softened by the great taste. Special appreciation for our deliver driver who was incredibly friendly despite having had a very busy night. Would recommend
