Shocking customer service. Do not order from this company. If some problems - they will always be right or will ignore you. They took -£15 from my payment because I missed my delivery. Calling cards were not left on both attempts - DPD can confirm that! So I had no idea they are trying to deliver I do not check my email that often. I would bothered to rearrange if calling cards were left but it was not! Had no problems with the last 3 deliveries. I do respect business and their expenses but this time it was a mistake from their side DPD and they just do not except that because they are greedy. So, if you will miss your delivery, not beeing at home, they will take a random chunk of your payment and will refund you only part of your payment. That is a fraud because these charges are not mentioned on their Web page! Would have oredered from them all the time but they just lost another I am sure not the last customer!
Plastic found in food - NO CARE & NO RECALL! Appalling Customer Service for PLASTIC pieces found in wet cat food! Apparently, this is something that happens on the odd occasion! Please see the response below from Simpsons! I used to work in the food industry and if this happened with human food there would be a recall and I can guarantee the company involved would care. This just shows you how much Simpsons care about your animal. Am gobsmacked by the lack of care and the no recall policy. They didn't even ask if my cat was okay! I have to chase this on the phone and spoke to an incredibly rude woman, who told me that only one person could deal with this. No care whatsoever. Will never trust this company again. "Thank you for your email and subsequent picture. I am very sorry to see you had an issue with one of the tins. Some of the meats are delivered into the factory frozen wrapped in the blue plastic and whilst every care is taken to remove this sometimes it can remain if it has frozen underneath the meat. This is very unusual and does not happen very often, but we will of course report this incident to quality control. Unfortunately, we cannot guarantee this would never happen again as this is something that is out of our control. If you take these back to the pet shop, I am sure they will refund you what is unopened, and they can then go down their usual channel for a refund."
We recently purchased Simpson’s food as my dog was ill from other brands. The food is high quality, excellent and my sausage dog loves it. Customer service was fantastic; the knowledge on ingredients / sensitive options / food types is brilliant and delivery was very quick. No complaints and Sherman looks forward to his meals!
Sad to hear that being able to purchase goods on site will not be getting reinstated once the current Cov19 situation is resolved. Ordering by phone is much easier of course, but the hounds will miss seeing their favourite people in the whole world. Instead, I now have them sitting on the couch, with the phone on speaker, listening to their new favourite lady. While she is a very nice lady, a virtual ear scratch and neck tickle is just not that same. At the moment we have four dogs, two 'rehomers' two rescues. One of the rescues came to us in a terrible state, unable to process any food we gave him. A borrowed bag of Simpsons lamb and potato sorted him out in twenty four hours. I have always found the Simpsons people to be a charming, friendly and highly informative group of people as I have ever met. That's not mentioning the passion they have for what they do. Crack on Simpsons, we think you're great.
Have used them for over a year, maybe two years and I have never had a problem with them. My cats love the food but it depends on what your pet likes. It is good quality food for your cat, better than what you can buy at the supermarket and for a good price. Also, delivery is very quick, atleast it is for me.
We have used this site for years, then recently they stopped making a type of food our dog loves. We ordered something different and it was so hard he couldn’t chew it, they refused to take it back as it was opened. But how can you know it’s a problem unless you open it. This cost us £50. We then ordered another type, a puppy type in the hope it wasn’t as hard. Unfortunately he didn’t like this so we tried to return the 2kg unopened bags and was refused because it had been 16days, policy is 14days for returns. But in this 14days I was in hospital for 5 days giving birth to our daughter. I explained this and have been ignored. That was another £50 wasted. Safe to say £100 down, with no compassion or even decent communication has really annoyed me. To the point we will never order from here again. The first set was defective and the second poor customer service. As you can see from the response attached this company doesn’t not appreciate customer feedback. There is always an excuse or reason why I was wrong, even after explaining that I was in hospital with our newborn it means nothing. Don’t trust these guys to give any loyalty to customers it’s all about money
Premium price, not service Good nutritious food, but appalling customer service. Within days of my dog suddenly dying, they absolutely refused to take back the month's worth of food I'd bought for him. Amazon did, no questions asked. Premium price, not premium nor anything like humane or compassionate service. Shan't ever be using them again for my next pets.
Shocking customer service. one order delivered wrong flavour, I contacted them through online form, no reply, chased and was told they never received my query - implying I was lying, was advised nothing they could do as too late to sort "as per their terms and conditions". Latest delivery went to wrong address DPD issue I accept, I knocked on doors to locate myself, and now told to look elsewhere for dog food if I find this an inconvenience! Never had issues before in all the years I have been buying from them. Customer service means nothing to them when things go wrong
Just wanted to say how pleased we are with Simpsons. Our Border Collie has a delicate digestion and both the wet food and the Salmon & Potato dry food have done wonders for him and his skin and fur. Have also started the cats on the wet food and the quality is exceptional; we get six meals out of one tin as it is proper meat with no fillers added! Their website and ordering process is easy and very reliable too.
I experienced problems when ordering online and I was spoken to appalling via email. Their dismissive responses were designed to make me feel as though I was the only one who had ever experienced problems. I have since read other reviews from ex-customers showing this was not the case. Adios Simpson's Premium.
