Brilliant place for Brunch, especially the pancakes. I reserved half the bar for brunch the day after my wedding so all my guests were able to nurse their hangovers in relaxed surroundings. With board games to entertain the children, and the adults, we ended up staying most of the day. Also great to pop in for a milkshake, a cocktail, or a glass of prosecco, which they have on tap - what could be better!
Food was nice and price was okay. Ribs were very tender but disappointingly didn't taste of much. Sweet potato wedges and slaw were really nice. Atmosphere was also really cool. Would I go again? Probably. There is plenty of choice in the Northern Quarter but this place is chilled and reliable.
We had a fabulous time experiencing the bottomless prosecco brunch. The prosecco was definitely bottomless and the brunch was beautifully cooked and presented. The bar itself has a great atmosphere and the staff couldn't have been more attentive.we would definitely recommend it and my granddaughter is already planning a return trip for their curry night special.
What an absolute pleasure. We visited on a Saturday lunchtime and managed to get a table no problem - this worried me slightly as everywhere else was packed, there was no need to have reservations though... the food was absolutely scrummy! Simple's sweet potato wedges are a thing of beauty, I spent the rest of my weekend trying to work out how they made them so delicious. I also want to mention the staff - what a polite, helpful, friendly bunch. Our dining experience was very enjoyable and we shall be back very soon. Thanks guys!
I went here with a friend about 2 days after they launched their new menu. The waitress hadn't learnt it all off by heart yet, but she was happy to run back and forth to the kitchen to ask all the questions we had! I ordered the Duck Tacos. They were delicious, however there were five of them and it was £14. Far too much for one person! I did feed back to the waitress she asked for feedback on the new menu that I thought they should do 3 of the tacos for one person and reduce the price, and then do five perhaps as a two person sharer or for a hungry man!. I was dissappointed I couldn't finish them as they tasted great. We also had some delicious rose wine which was on offer that night.
Lovely waitress, very attentive and friendly! The food was fresh and delicious also, my sisters life was changed by the mojito dressing on the Cajun Chicken burger! Would definitely reccomend to anyone looking for a nice place for lovely food and drink.
I've been here twice for food before a gig in the Northern Quarter and it's been great. The staff are friendly, welcoming and helpful, and the food and beer are top notch. It can be noisy but isn't too much.
Used to be a great bar, but gone downhill in recent months. Attention to detail has faded. Prices high - four pounds for a bottle of lager and fifty pence charge for using a debit card made an expensive round. Recent dinner here had missing sold out items even though we pre-ordered a week before.
Modern and delicious food. Simple by name and simply good quality and tasty cuisine by nature. The chicken and mozzarella focaccia is a thing of beauty. A definite consideration if you're looking for a tasty Sunday Roast Dinner in the city centre!
Popular bar/cafe/restaurant, with an American diner-style menu but pure Northern Quarter casual look and ambience. A good range of food on the menu - I like the pancakes for brunch, and the fish finger sandwiches. Prices are reasonable.
