Great coffee shop for peaceful breakfast. Good food, friendly barista. It is cozy here, but those boxes makes me feel that I am at some sort of storehouse Anyway, I think I will come again.Food: 5/5

Best pot of tea and fresh toast in a while. Pity about the reheated or not sausages cold and half cooked half raw eggs. Service great but food a disappointment. Rating reversed from my previous 5 stars down to two.

Great coffee, great food, friendly service
Absolutely fantastic coffee shop. I love their blueberry muffins.
Today I had a terrible encounter with a male member of staff. I have a very obvious medical reason for not wearing a mask - multiple stitches from a minor surgery yesterday in two places my face and I am on doctors orders to not wear one while they heal. Ive been here multiple times and always wear a mask but currently my healing takes priority. He told me to put on my mask and I explained that I wasn’t allowed to wear one while my stitches heal so he asked me to wait by the door. No problem. Then told me to come back in to get my coffee and lid a few seconds later. I expected that since I was told to wait outside, said coffee would have been brought to me so I said “oh, may I now come in now to get a lid?” He said “it’s not funny”. I agreed, it’s not funny and it’s ludicrous to pretend you cannot see my situation plainly in front of you. All of this was said without a hint of irony from a man wearing a mask so far below his nose that I could see his upper lip. Ive been running errands all day; I’ve taken a taxi, entered another cafe, gone to the grocery store and more - and this is the only place that has not shown compassion and understanding that I obviously cannot wear a mask at this time. I’m also honestly lost on how leaving and entering the premises twice is better than standing and waiting in one spot. But ok. It’s fairly obvious why I’m not wearing one, but I also nicely explained when he first asked that I’m on doctors orders not to wear one currently. When I was met with snark and attitude our encounter escalated and I’m sad to say I do not want to return to an establishment that lacks common sense, compassion and decency. It’s not that I was asked - I get the rules & Ive been following them- But it was a bit rich to spoken to so rudely all while he himself was wearing a mask below his nose - so were the members of staff who prepared my food, as well as many of the customers in line. When I pointed that out it was ignored and brushed off. The improper mask wearing was not a bother to me in itself, but the double standard and to be spoken to so rudely was incredibly ironic. A bit of compassion and understanding could have been used and avoided an unnecessarily nasty encounter. Shame on you.
