Lovely little beach only a short train ride away from Edinburgh. The water is nice. There are bathrooms, a small cafe, and life guards on duty, so it's perfect for a wee swim.
Wonderful! Everything you could wish for a day at the beach. Clean toilets, cafe with out door seating, kiosk, car park only £2 for the day, RNLI lifeguards. A great day out.
Beautiful pristine beach. One can plan a lovely small day trip from Edinburgh.

Busiest I have ever seen a beach anywhere. Cars abandoned absolutely everywhere! Barely any space to move and about a 10 minute walk to the actual water over rocks and sinking sand. Oh and tons of jellyfish!
Great place for dogs to go. Small humans and wild swimmers also seem to like it. The cafe adds a bit of civilisation for those that enjoy that sort of thing.
Absolutely love this beach. No need to pay for parking in Winter time but a couple of pounds in Summer. Also the Cafe is cash only so bring plenty of cash with you if you want to have a cuppa with a sea view.
Beautiful beach if you can find a quiet corner, toilets are open from 11 till 6 weekends and 12 till 4 on weekdays. There were big queues for them. Plastic picnic benches we saw at least 10 families using one bench and only 2 cleaned them before eating from them. All I all we had a lovely night and day camping but if you can take your own facilities.
Great place to get away for the day great CAFE Sands really friendly staff and lovely food and DOG Friendly. The scenery is lovely and what alovely beach
Beautiful beach in Aberdour. The place was looked after by lifeguards and seemed very clean. There is a big park around it where there are paths for running and cycling and there are some playgrounds for children too.
