After a spontaneous decision to have Chinese tonight I ordered the duck in oyster sauce best part of the meal and soft noodles, I love Chinese food and this restaurant makes really good food, not my favourite in town but I rarely have much to complain about.
Lovely food and very reasonable as well. OMG the chicken curry was amazing! Well worth a visit if you're down in Bude, we shall be visiting again. *Update* we have returned to Bude and where have we visited again...yes you guessed right! And it was better than last time. I wish we had a nice Chinese takeout in Torbay.

The best family run cafe in Bude. Follow the canal from town till you come to a little junction. Go down the one with trees on left only 10 minute walk from there. Parking outside cafe if needed it's at bottom of Kngs hill on left . Great selection of hot and cold food, all lovely. Seating inside and out. Dogs welcome inside.
Awful got our order wrong we didn’t notice till we got back we rang and apparently we hadn’t ordered the duck to go with pancake?? We didWork that out! They did give us duck and didn’t charge but said they would re cook our whole order they didn’t! And when we got back rice was missing! Food was bland and probably the worst Chinese we have had shop very run down and dirty looking tbh and we probably wouldn’t of used but we called our order in advance so didn’t look inside our advice is don’t bother going here really want o like it
Honestly worst Chinese I have ever had in my life. We are on holiday and ordered from tiandi a couple of doors down which was beautiful food and lovely polite customer service. Unfortunately on our last night on holiday they are closed so tried silver river instead. What a mistake. The woman on the phone / serving has such a rude way about her and very abrupt. The food is HALF PORTIONS!! From any other Chinese, you'll get a long tray of noodles / rice or whatever you order, these are they tiny tin foil half portion ones even though your charged the same as every other Chinese takeaways normal sized portion. I usually share a rice with my son but there wasn't enough. Don't order anything salt and pepper, we got salt and pepper chips and chicken, it's like an extremely strong Cajun seasoning you buy from the supermarket. Nothing like we have ever had before. Absolutely everything we ordered was tiny and vile tasting, most of it has gone in the bin what we couldn't stomach, all still starving. Avoid like the plague!! Unfriendly, vile food and a complete rip off
I agree with other reviews about the women on the phone was abrupt and not welcoming.. but other than that we really enjoyed our Chinese takeaway.. we are on holiday from South Wales BBQ sauce was lush!
Excellent food and always friendly staff been going there for years the best Chinese in Bude and surrounding areas we travel from Camelford most weeks Excellent food and service did see a comment in regard to paying in Cash what is the problem Cash Machine near by you will find most do only take cash in Cornwall .Ordering my normal on Tuesday . Absolutely blown away, fair price,good portions and best of all massive amounts of meat in the dishes. I must say we had it last night and well definitely have another before returning to Bristol. Recommended the chefs special chowmien and special fried rice. Attached some pics to show you, if this or my other reviews have helped plz thumbs up. Pancake roll is massive!!
Very very bland food. Quite disappointed with our meals, but they were very busy so maybe the quality is not as good usual, however we expected much better. I would not recommend and I wouldn't visit here again.
