Absolutely disgusting food. The service was great- but probably the worst fish and chips I have ever eaten. We ordered a haddock, two small fish and some fish bites with two servings of chips and a large mushy peas. The batter was soggy and not cooked properly and the fish was dry. We threw away the fish bites as I got these for my toddler- they were inedible. The mushy peas were awful. The chips were cold and soggy too. I asked if I could have the mini fish grilled and they said they can’t do grilled fish. This is the last time I’m coming here. 3rd time in a row of dissatisfaction and disappointment.
Some of the best fish and chips and scampi we have ever had. Gluten free batter, will come back just for that. The chips are tasty and not greasy, the staff delightful. Definitely worth a visit!
A handful of cold chips, never again. Also not sure why the Danny Davito lookalike has such a bad attitude. Zero people skills.
Just had a bag of chips and they were really nice
Service was good but food was poor, the chips tasted like they'd been reheated in a mirowave.. we just threw them away. .my son had kebab meat but it tasted strongly of herbs so he threw it away. The Cod we had was wrapped in grease proof paper and almost all the batter stuck to it and could not be removed because it was quite soggy. My wife said her cod was dry as well as missing the batter. Worst chish and fips I've ever had.
12.04.21 - Another disappointing meal from Silvers - Cold Rubbery chicken, wilted salad and mouldy pitta bread. This place used to be good but standards are falling.
Visited at lunchtime. Disgraceful attitude from owner/server? Couldn't be bothered to cook fish bites despite an hour until closing. Was offered a fishcake, pie or a sausage from a totally miserable person. Will not be visiting again.
I had the calamari and chips, the calamari was great and really enjoyed it but the chips weren’t great so I didn’t eat most of them. It was easy to find and didn’t take long for the order.
Pretty much inedible ...should have taken the fish and chip mush back but couldn't be bothered..never again.
