Ordered from here just before 5pm ready for 6pm when they open. I was given a delivery time of 6:10 to 6:20pm. At 6:30pm I called them to ask what's happened and they said it would be 5 minuets. At 6:45pm I call and get told the guy is outside my house and to open the door and go outside, I was already outside and there was no car or delivery driver. At 6:50pm the driver turns up and gives me the delivery. I go inside thinking better late than never, I spoke too soon! Part of the order was missing so I called them back up and let them know and they said it would be sent to me. I never received my dinner that night!

I can safely say this was the worst Indian and Groupon experience ever and we've had a few! The food did not taste good, the service was poor, we kept our coats on as it was very cold in the restaurant and the promised desert of ice cream didn't exist! The loos were a mess, blocked sink with dubious stuff in it!

We have just moved into the area and were very disappointed when our old take away would not deliver as far as here until we tried dining at the Silsila. The restaurant is lovely, stylish and modern. It is a family run business - service is always welcoming and with a smile. The food is delicious and not overly greasy as it often can be with Indian cuisine. Takeaways are equally good and they deliver to your door. They also own the chippy next door which serves up proper delicious traditional fish n chips so if u don't fancy an Indian treat ya self to fish n chips - in my opinion they're the best chips in Reading!! : ))

Customer service was not good at all. The waiting times were too long. The taste of the curry dishes were not good. The quality of the food was just ok. The Naan bread was very thick and uncooked inside. Had a group-on coupon for a three course meal for 2. The owner didn't give the side dish that was there in the offer. Also said that ice cream was not available. The owner was not a friendly guy. Complete rip off.

Food is usually to a high standard, waiting times can be a long from time to time.
