No phone call having signed up for a nurse telephone appointment, then a message saying that they couldn't get through to me even though no attempt had been made and that I needed to go through their very cumbersome online system to arrange to rebook. Sorry might have been nice ..
I rarely post such negative reviews. But my experience of the practice, when i rarely request care has been frustrating and made me think twice to put up with what is obviously poor health when genuinely needed. Twice over the years the Modaility online system has been temporary unavailable. When i have accessed it, the long forms to describe symptoms isn't the most intuitive. Only a year ago the first doctor i saw overlooked doing a simple test the appointment lasted approx 3 minutes that i now know would have revealed an issue that was quickly picked up by a second doctor i saw and resulted in an ECG. But only after persistance on my part. The repeat monthly perscription that was set up, for some reason was cancelled today without warning and on the NHS app wasn't able to request another. So naturally i tried to log onto the modaility platform which is temporarily unavialable. And as it is Saturday morning, no one is avialable on the phone, and the automated message says they are unable to deal with perscriptions over the phone! For someone who infrequently requires healthcare, this system feels designed to limit and create barriers to contact them! As this is my local practice i feel very limited by my options.
After years of dreadful service, have finally moved my elderly Father to a GP Surgery 7 miles away he lives in Silsden. The new Surgery is on another level compared to Modality. You make a call, someone answers, they help you with what you need. Imagine that?! Wish we’d have moved him earlier and saved ourselves a lot of hassle.
Positive experience, requested appointments through the website twice, both times had an on time, face to appointment same day. The receptionist staff are really helpful. Silsden practice
Slow,lots waiting for COVID and flu jabs but running late about 15-20mins wait not good at all,
Yesterday I had a face to face consultation with Dr Barron at Silsden Health Centre. Can I emphasise that I'm not usually comfortable in these circumstances? Our meeting yesterday was very different for me, being totally relaxed right from the start. Three issues which were causing me considerable concern were resolved easily. Dr. Barron listened carefully to what I had to say and all my questions were answered. This is no reflection on my previous visits to the health centre which have mostly been good, but yesterday was an exceptionally good experience from beginning to end. Special thanks to Dr Barron for making it so.
It is so hard to get help from the doctors now. You can't call. You have to complete a ridiculous long winded online form. That can only be filled in during office hours. This form is not relevant to a lot if medical conditions and took 20 mins to fill in. If your lucky you might get yourself a phone call from a doctor then. So many obstacles to accessing care now. They really don't want you to see anyone.
Such a shame one or two of the receptionists let this surgery down. I have been treated in appalling manner again and again by V- her dislike of me actually prevents me from accessing the medical care I need with a long term condition. I was asked by both 111 and hospital in patient to drop a sample off- as it was not on my record she refused and was unpleasant, unprofessional and openly rude. Thankfully her senior said they could take the sample but I had to ring triage before the would test it. As it happened the Dr rang me anyway/ thanked me for dropping the sample and apologised for how I had been treated, as did the lovely lady/ receptionist on triage. There is absolutely no need to treat patients like this- it is not the first time. I also object that a nurse who I did not even see has put on my medical record that I was the one that was rude to the receptionist. Complete unprofessional especially given she was not there, Utterly disgusting.
Just called in to the surgery to get some help. Looked at the website to see if busy but stated not busy on the graph. The receptionist was very helpful with my query of accessing details sent by doctor on my phone and sending photos to the surgery via link from doctor.
Rang this morning. I was 31 in the queue so choose automatic call back. Had a call 10 minutes later. Very professional lady receptionist put me on doctor call back. As promised doctor contact me before 12 o'clock. Listen very carefully and patience, prescribed medicine for my daughter said if need any more future help ring them back to face to face appointment. No problem at all all staff professional and friendly as usual. Thank you so much.
