Hired a boat from Silsden Boat Company for a 10 day holiday on the Leeds and Liverpool Canal. Cannot fault the company, friendly staff, excellent service, good information given. Stunning scenery of the Airedale valley. We travelled to Foulridge and did the tunnel then turned around and went to Bingley 5 Rise locks.
We hired a 5 berth narrowboat called Richards Drum for a 4 night midweek break.nTo my surprise the boat was relatively brand new it was built in 2021 and was in excellent condition with a high specification modern interior with all the mod cons. Even better the diesel fuel which runs the central heating system and engine plus gas for the stove/oven was included in the cost of the hire. All the staff were very professional, courteous and knowledgeable.nWe had a fantastic family adventure up and down the Leeds Liverpool Canal, we travelled through wonderful countryside and Skipton is such a beautiful town with lots to see and do.nI would highly recommend Silsden Boats for your next holiday adventure.
Just back from a brilliant holiday on a narrow boat, thank you Silsden boat hire for the brilliant service. The boat was immaculate when we arrived all utensils and crockery were in excellent condition. We loved every minute and are planning to return soon.
We where due to go onthe lancaster canal . Two days before we where notified that we wouldn't be able to go sue to unforseen circumstances . This was 16.30 on the Friday we frantically searched the Internet we needed to find something and quick . Well we found this amazing company . By 17.00 our holiday was booked !! And we where not dissapointed . We had a four night adventure . We had never driven a boat , we where accompanied by a staff member who not only gave us a full run threw if the boat but took us to the swing bridge and showed us how to operate them . heading to skipton wear suitable footware , once we where comfortable we where left to our own devices , we had an amazing holiday even though I had to have motion sickness tablets morher in law finds this hillarious . Silsden are always on hand if you need anything and your always met with a friendly voice on the other end of the phone . We had a narrow boat holiday once we returned the boat the lovey staff let us look at a wider boat and wow! Guess what we are doing next year. I asked to be emailed prices etc within 20 mins I had the email. Such a great company thankyou for an amazing holiday where ots of memories where made and will stay with us forever
We phoned ahead and spoke to a very helpful lady. Next day, we pulled up alongside for a pumpout. The chaps working there were so helpful and friendly. They went out of their way to accommodate us. Excellent pumpout at a good price, plus they give you a dose of loo blue!!nSo professional. Highly recommend this company. Top quality guys....a rare find!
