Was refused access to the toilets as the floor was wet even when a medical card was produced by my brother in law stating that he had to use them urgently and cant wait the lady was in a different uniform and you could tell she was a karen and couldn't be bothered to wipe the floor again where 1 person had walked. Complete and utter discrimination I say if you are disabled or have any other needs go else where as you will be treated as a human Wheelchair accessibility: Completly discrimination against disabled do not go here
The worst fish and chips I've ever tried on the West Coast... The staff is nice and friendly, the waiting time is OK, not bothered to wait for a nice meal... Unfortunately it wasn't nice at all... We thought that it is fresh - busy, popular location so the food is supposed to be fresh and hot. The chips was black, undercooked or it was that bad quality... Couldn't decide it! The fish was small in a huge thick butter coat. The butter was extremely greasy, full with fat, and badly undercooked... Just don't understand the fact you're waiting 10 minutes and still undercooked. Paid £15 for 2 meals but half of the food ate by the birds. The tables by the business is very sticky, dirty.. All over empty plastic forks and cups. The council should force this company to keep tidy the dining area. Overall, I wouldn't give an other go for them and don't recommend it anyone who expect a little better quality of fish than 1 star.
dirty, non existent service, small portions. feels like I'm paying to get myself tortured. food quality is amazing. birds eye does betterFood: 1/5
The building looks ready to fall into the sea. It's filthy with water dripping from the roof into various plastic containers here and there. We were one of two tables and we had to try 4 tables to find a clean one. Staff appear to have lost the will to live, certainly lost the will to clean or being food to tables. Salt shakers and vinegar bottles were so disgusting. Food was edible. Spoke with cook/manager, "we try", honestly I'm not sure you do.
Overpriced for what it is. Take full advantage of their location. The views are brilliant overlooking the lake. The staff are really good and the service is good but the food could just be so much better. Most of it by literally spening 60 seconds longer in a fryer. Chips are single fried which makes them somewhat soggy. The fish is undercooked with the batter not being great.
Been here a few times and always enjoy the food. 2 meals under £20 including 2 soft drinks. Portion sizes could be a little bigger for what you pay. Staff a little bit slow. communication can lack a little. You point out what you want on the menu but you have to remind them it should come with peas or gravy for example. Quite clean inside but was a quiet rainy day. I would probably come back as I have done in the past.
Eat in add about £6 to your order for a family. If you eat in they make you key outside, thank god it was not raining. 2 plates of chips, one chips and cheese, chip barm and 4 cokes £28.35
Absolutely disgusting and vile food. Our kids will eat anything but not from here. It's been a long time since I've left a one star review but this place needs avoiding
Went on bank holiday Saturday, thought they must be good as it was busy outside no-one inside asked for fish and chips twice , don't think they had a smaller carton the portions were tiny, only teenagers doing the serving and cooking I asked for one of them to be changed as the batter was not cooked the lad just looked at me so I asked again ,he practically threw the tray at me if they want to use cheap labour they should at least be taught to cook. The fish was tasteless the chips ok . Definitely giving this place a wide berth as should everyone else.
Very average, had to clean our own table £10.25 for a fish and chips … the fish was very small and a handful of chips.. first time coming and wont be back. Massivly over priced for what it is. Don’t mind paying them prices if the food is actually worth it but very poor and portion size isn’t much.
