This was such a wonderfully fun time for us! They truly do uphold comprehensive care on all levels for the donkeys and you can clearly see how evident that is. The donkeys are relaxed, adventurous and beautiful to see! Our tour guide was enormously helpful and gave great insight and practical information. Afterwards, the cafe is a great place to unwind, with delicious food and drink. Altogether, it was a great and adventurous visit for us and we’re really excited to visit again! Highly recommended!
So much has changed since we last visited. The restaurant and gift shop are much larger with a great range of food options and gifts for all budgets, including pocket money prices. And being able to visit and mix with the donkeys is a treat not to be missed. We found some access was via stiles but most were through gates. Honestly, if you love donkeys, fields and open spaces with views to the sea, a visit to The Donkey Sanctuary is not to be missed.
Absolutely amazing place to go. Loads of lovely donkeys everywhere! So many beautiful donkeys. Isn’t a full day out but will occupy you for a good few hours. It is honestly one of the loveliest days out ever. It was even better that we could bring the dog to walk around and the talk was very informative. Really recommend
Great place to go for a few hours. Free entry to visit. The kids did the trail which is £5. It seemed pretty popular to take your dog also. Wasn't overly busy when visiting, but can imagine during the holidays / summer months it would get very busy.
Love this place so tranquil the donkeys are truly wonderful the staff and volunteers are helpful and very friendly. The restaurant is top quality and reasonable priced. We have been twice this week and enjoyed it more each time. It is free to enter and a great place for kids to run around with lots of flat paths for prams and wheelchairs to access. Don't miss the French donkey D'Artagwith the long hair and the biggest ear's you have ever seen.
Wow Amazing, what a beautiful charity. Its FREE entry, huge parking available and only hour an half from Bristol. Dogs welcome must be on leads. Wonderful staff an volunteers, nothing too much effort. Every size donkey from minatures to large sizes. Cafe was fabulous I had garden burger meal, followed by huge slab rainbow cake under £14 so very affordable prices. Make sure to walk whole site, highlight for me was huge group of blind donkeys my heart melted and so very friendly loved being touched, also loved the 2 mules. Please respect the site take any picnic waste to one of many bins all around site and also lots washing up facilities too. Please give generously to help in the many collection boxes for different donkey appeals! Every pound really makes a difference!!!
Dog friendly BRING YOUR PUPPIES HERE! free entry and some lovely on site walks. Please make a donation if you can. Some beautiful bits in the gift shop. The cafe is incredible. We had a vegan flapjack not knowing it was vegan and it was so good we now prefer it to the normal ones. The white hot chocolate there is incredible. It's also all made so lovely by their fantastic work saving and supporting these kind creatures across the world. 10/10.
What a gorgeous place to visit. My late stepdad sponsored the Donkey Sanctuary for a very long time, now I do the same. Plenty of parking free. I rode my mobility scooter all the way around & didn't struggle. Toilets were spotless. Everywhere was clean & tidy. Very friendly staff.
Such a lovely place. My son absolutely loved seeing all the donkeys so close. They are so calm and let you come close to them. He loves to touch animals so that was really lovely. Lovely cafe too with amazing views while to relax. Well worth a visit. We will be visiting many more times.
A lovely place to spend a few hours. Free entry. Easy to get about main yard if disabled. Long walks if more active. Donkeys love being scratched and very friendly. Nice garden to sit for a while. The cafe is brilliant with lovely views and food quality excellent. Can always find choice suitable for veggie or gluten free. Well maintained toilets and nice shop. Lots of parking. Dogs welcome on leads, even in cafe. Staff helpful and knowledgeable. Every donation helps.
