Excellent Sichuan food, with a good variety of dishes. Probably on the higher end of food we've had the chance to taste in Ireland, for a pretty cheap price as well. As their kitchen seem pretty small, the waiting time might be a bit higher than in other places, but it was worth it.
Great time here , paddys day booking assisted by Jessica and also greeted and seated by her. Great food and hospitality... 4 of us well fed, mains, starters and with drinks for around €25 a head too, tasty and great value . Cheers for a great meal Jessica and gang
pork ribs with corn soup and Chongqing style fried chicken with chili are so brilliant. The waiting time is not so long the service is good. The price is reasonable to the price. Just ask for the Chinese menu for getting more options.
Comments from Sam : I was really looking forward to having some Hunan's food after a trip to Hunan province in China 2 years ago. I was disappointed, my partner can cook tastier, spicier and more authentic Chinese food than this It is an affordable restaurant though, We orderes 5 dishes for 64 Euros. I would not recommend it to Hunan's locals, but for others I guess it's fine. Overall it as an average experience.
Brilliant, they’ll cook dishes that are not even on the English menu if you ask. Delicious food. Might be my new go to place for Chinese and Sichuan food. Recommended
I did like to go to this small restaurant sometimes. However, after waiting for 2 hours for my takeaway order of 3 dishes today, I have decided not to go in the future. I called 6:53pm to order 3 Chinese dishes: cumin lamb, stir-fried beef with green onions and chicken soup and I was told that I could wait for one hour. I said it's fine. I called again around 8pm to get an update and I was told I would get a call back in 5 minutes but after that they never contacted me and never answered the phone or text message. They delivered the food around 9pm. Before that I texted them that I didn't want 3 dishes ordered and asked for a refund. No one answered or replied my text messages. My partner went there around 8:40 and asked to cancel the order but he was told the driver was on the way. We had no choice but had to accept the delivery. The way how they do their business is wrong. They only care about making money but ignore the customers. Furthermore, my partner said two dishes received looked like leftovers. We didn't eat them at all. Photos are attached.
very good food! ordered the hot and sour soup, dumplings, kung pao chicken with a side of noodles and rice. and for our drink we ordered a jasmin tea. was all about 35€ and filled 2 people up! i would go back again!
A bit of wait but every plate i tested with my friends were godlike. The mabo tofu is very good, might be my best buck spent in Dublin. A must to go for chinese food lover.
I’ve been here a few times now and can say the flavors are authentic and the prices are reasonable. If you aren’t familiar with traditional Chinese dishes I recommend going with a Chinese friend who can help. Personally I just call my dad and he helps to translate as Mandarin is my 2nd /3rd language. The Japanese tofu is lovely. Forget the English “foreigner menu”. Go with someone who knows Chinese cuisine or can speak Chinese at least. The kitchen is small and yes waiting can be unbearable but I have enjoyed every single meal I have ever had here. Don’t just order a curry and rice. Try something spicy. Mapo tofu, braised beef or crispy pan fried noodles. The list goes on. Be brave.
Lovely little restaurant! Tasty food and decent service. We tried three dishes, all pretty tasty especially the lotus root dish. The dry fried pork could have been crisper and used less batter. Otherwise, we enjoyed it! It would also be worth noting that there are many dishes which aren't on the menu - the lotus root dish for instance. I just showed the waitress a picture someone else took before and got it ordered : Also, have some cash to hand just in case!
