Absolutely beautiful grounds with a variety of things to see and do for everyone. The Collection is my favourite, with a wide range of early experimental aircraft right through to racing aircraft! It's all well laid out and great for both children and adults alike. The airshows and flying events are always good fun and exciting to watch in the summer months. The Swiss Gardens are also lovely if you want to have some peace and quiet, with lots of wildlife and plants and also some small landmarks to explore. The site also has a cafe and shop. The cafe is nice with lovely food and drink. But as is the case with museums, it is on the slightly pricey side.
We had a great day here, arrived at 10am and left at 4pm. Thoroughly enjoyed looking at the collection of aircraft, cars, bikes, buses, etc. There was quite a bit of activity on the airfield with small aeroplanes coming and going. We had some lunch in the cafe and the prices were on a par with other visitor attractions. We then had a pleasant amble around the picturesque Swiss garden. Can recommend it as a good day out especially as it wasn’t packed with visitors and the whole day was very relaxed.
You have to buy a ticket for shuttleworth to visit the Gardens which is quite expensive but you can spend all day here and return within 30 days. The gardens are nice, I was able to push a wheelchair round. Toilets on site. Nice cafe. Would be lovely in summer
Fascinating display of historic aircraft and vehicles. A few light aircraft flying too, including at least one historic plane while we were there. Disappointing that entry to the Swiss Garden is now only available as part of a combined ticket when it used to be possible to visit the garden only at a cheaper price. Also disappointing that the fairly expensive entry is only valid for two weeks - other similar attractions often include return visits for up to a year; for visitors like me who live a long way away, return in two weeks is very unlikely but within a year more likely.
Went for Mother's day and what a treat! Gardens are fantastic, food and drink were amazing and the mother's day fair at the house was the cherry on the cake!
Went on a rainy November day and the garden was very well kept and a nice walk. Didn't get round the whole of the garden as we were getting a bit wet, but lots of nice small outbuildings. And ponds. Decent kids playground as well with lots of different equipment. Can imagine it looks really nice in the spring summer.
Came here yesterday 15/09/2022 with my boyfriend, his mom and her partner. This place was an amazing experience! Great planes, cars, bikes, big garden, play area, cafe, the house is really nice in old warden park too, you can try on some clothing garments located in one of the rooms which they wore in those days which was quite fun. The staff throughout the day were all very welcoming of us and were very friendly. Great service. Thank you. I recommend for couples, friends and families.
Brilliant experience. Vintage cars and airplanes outstanding viewing. Definitely going back as tickets last 30 days and within that time can return as many time you like. Just posted 3 photos. Got many more than that. Recommend a visit.Visited onWeekdayWait timeNo waitReservation recommendedNo
Always loved Shuttleworth but £2 for a small bar of chocolate and £3.50 for a can of drink is a bit heavy. I understand that costs have risen but not by 100%!
Visited the vintage airshow last weekend, stayed in my camper van on site , had a great time all the staff where friendly and worked hard to ensure every one had a great time . Amazing place to visit , great to see 6 hangers full of planes , cars and bikes with lots of history. Then on Sunday quite a few are brought out to show the public and they fly most of the planes too , looking forward to going back next year
